Si vienes a Panamá, no importa si es de vacaciones o negocios, San Blas es un destino que no puede faltar en tu agenda. ¿Curiosidad? Este paraíso turquesa se encuentra a tan solo dos horas de la Ciudad de Panamá y únicamente se puede llegar en avioneta o en vehículo de doble tracción, necesario para atravesar las colinas que le rodean. Sin duda, un hermoso paseo donde se mezcla el olor de la selva con el aroma del mar.
Tips para tu viaje a #SanBlasIslands
1. El camino es divertido pero traumatico asi que si mareas toma previsiones.

2. Para llegar si vas en carro propio sólo puedes ir en vehículo doble tracción (4x4) aunque puedes llegar hasta el punto de control de Senafront dejar tu carro y tomar el transporte que te lleva hasta el puerto.
3. Puedes planificarte e ir a quedarte en cabañas, en camping (en mi caso mi grupo se mudo literalmente ???? se llevó la casa a la playa) planifiquen solo llevar lo necesario, y también puedes ir de pasadias, no lo recomiendo porque un dia no es suficiente para disfrutarlo al máximo.

???? Impuesto para entrar a la comarca $5 residentes $20 extranjeros.
???? Impuesto del puerto $2.
???? Estacionamiento $2.
???? Lancha por persona desde $35 depende de la isla que vayas (yo fui a chichime).

Sailing San Blas Islands from Panama to Colombia
On our tour we had to send out an S.O.S. but normally the trip is around 5 days in total. 3 days are spent island hopping around the San Blas Islands and two days at open sea together with Dolphins ???? The length of the trip and the islands you visit will depend on weather conditions and the departure/arrival point of the trip. From Panama, boats departing from Puerto Lindo or Portobello usually depart in the evening of the first day and end in Cartagena on the sixth day but arrival can be affected by the sea, wind and current.
Nacar 2 is a 42 foot custom catamaran previously known as Gypsy Moth. She takes up to 12 passengers in 2 private aft cabins, 2 semi-private cabins with a double bed and single attached in the tip of the hulls, 2 single bunks, and an extra bed in the salon. There are fans in each cabin and 2 shared bathrooms. The large cockpit which provides a comfortable area for dining and hanging out in the shade and there is plenty of deck space for lounging. The boat is equipped with snorkeling and fishing equipment, motor dingy, and a fridge to keep your drinks cool.

Though they have had contact with Europeans since Columbus sailed these waters in 1502, clan identity and the traditional way of life remain paramount.
A decade ago the road to the port of Gardi (Cartí) was finished, making the region more accessible than ever. Still off the beaten track, this narrow, 373km-long strip on the Caribbean coast with 365 offshore islands stretches from the Golfo de San Blás to the Colombian border.
Community (ie populated) islands numbering four dozen are acre-sized cays packed with thatched huts, livestock and people. Visitors often prefer the more remote outer islands with fewer inhabitants.

The San Blas islands are a group of islands in the archipelago de San Blas, located in the Northwest of Panama facing the Caribbean Sea. There are 378 islands within the archipelago and they are scattered around in an area of about 100 square miles. If you leave the Golfo de San Blas by boat you will enter the Caribbean Sea. The majority of the 378 islands have no inhabitants, but on the larger ones you will find the gentle native people known as the Kuna’s. These people can be found on the larger inhabited Islands; Aguja Island, Guanidup Island, Chichimei, Yandup Island and El Porvenir. You may ask yourself What is san blas? San Blas is an autonomous territory in Panama formally called Kuna Yala.

It has never been so easy to be mindful and so present anywhere else than on an island in San Blas archipelago. I feel blessed that I have had an opportunity to discover this amazing place on earth and to come back here again.

The San Blas Islands of Panama is an archipelago comprising approximately 365 islands and cays, of which only 49 are inhabited.
They lie off the north coast of the Isthmus of Panama, east of the Panama Canal. A part of the comarca (district) Guna Yala (also spelled Kuna Yala) along the Caribbean coast of Panama is home to the Kuna Indians.
San Blas and its surrounding area is a haven for ecotourists because of its pristine environs. The area is also popular for sailing, as it is known for its beauty and lack of hurricanes.

San Blas Islands, Panama - The journey!
The San Blas Islands are part of the Guna Yala region of Panama. We reached the islands by taking a three-hour car ride from Panama City, followed by a boat ride to the islands.
