Visiting San Gervasio Mayan ruins in Cozumel, Mexico. These were small ruins but interesting. Be sure to bring bug spray because the mosquitos are really bad. We rushed through because they were eating us up! Shot with a GoPro Hero5 Black. - June 2018

San Gervasio Mayan Ruins Tour in Cozomel Mexico
This video was filmed at the San Gervasio Mayan Ruins in Cozomel, Mexico during a day shore excursion from our cruise ship (RC Freedom of the Seas). During the hour tour of the ruins lizards were everywhere you looked (checkout our other video showing some). The tour featured a local tour guide who was not only very knowledgeable but also of Mayan decent. Although these ruins are interesting, they are certainly not as impressive as some of the other Mayan Ruins in Mexico and even in the vicinity of Cozumel. If you like this Mexican Mayan ruins video then make sure to give this video a thumbs up and post a comment below!
San Gervasio Mayan Ruins On Cozumel
I rode 10 miles out to the San Gervasio site of Mayan Ruins on Cozumel island, my 1st of the trip. It was so windy and I actually had trouble riding there. I'm only guessing that the Spanish conquerers renamed the site. It was a very enjoyable 40 minute visit
San Gervasio Maya Ruin, Cozumel
San Gervasio is a Mayan archaeological site on the north central part of Cozumel Island, just off the Yucatan coast in the State of Quin Tana Roo, just south of Cancun. Mimi, our Mayan guide, gave wonderful insight into their culture, history, and what daily life was like then and now. There is a license fee on all Mexican Archaeological sites to use a video camera of about $6 US of which a paid receipt was received with our entry. tickets. Mimi was a terrific guide, see what you think....welcome your comments and questions.
Mayan ceremonial site San Gervasio (Cozumel Mexico)
On my recent trip to the Yucatán I finally visited this remarkable site. Excuse my poorly executed questions, I didn't expect to have a tour guide; originally I was there to just take photos.
Maya Ruins & Beach Tour!
We had a great time exploring these ruins my opinion a little pricey to what you get but over all a great experience. We did not enjoy the beach it was windy and chilly and we did not eat at the beach restaurant prices were very high to what they offered.

We explore the ancient ruins of Coba in Mexico & climb the Temple!!
Coba (Spanish: Cobá) is an ancient Mayan city on the Yucatán Peninsula, located in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo. The site is the nexus of the largest network of stone causeways of the ancient Mayan world, and it contains many engraved and sculpted stelae that document ceremonial life and important events of the Late Classic Period (AD 600–900) of Mesoamerican civilization.[1] The adjacent modern village bearing the same name, reported a population of 1,278 inhabitants in the 2010 Mexican federal census.[2]
