USA defeats Kazakhstan 8-2 in Group B prelims, shots from the stands and flag raising.
This was my first time seeing the World Juniors live, and I gotta say, it was quite an experience.
Kazakhstan were the major underdogs of the tournament, and everyone in Victoria was behind their backs. The video doesn't justify, but the place erupted every time the Kazakhs scored, and gave them a standing ovation after the game (not on film). Quite a cool spectacle that I'm sure the Kazakh kids will remember for the rest of their lives.

Save On Foods Memorial Centre Victoria : NO PUSH BUTTONS AT DOORS TO GET TO WHEELCHAIR SEATING
My Name is Amanda and I am a 22 year old from Victoria BC Canada. If you have been here you know we have a arena called save on foods memorial centre. They do not have push buttons for the doors to get up to the wheelchair seating. I have expressed my concerns since the arena has been built to the employees at the arena and have had a meeting showing where things need to be changed such as signs showing where the wheelchair seating is so that people dont always have to find someone to ask where it is. All I have heard back is they have ordered signs to show where the seating is and that was about 2 months ago. I have recently been to the arena and have seen nothing change. I am hoping by posting these videos and talking about it I can get more people involved

Every time I struggle with a door at the arena because they have no push buttons I have to have someone help me open the door or I just get random people seeing me struggle and helping. NO i do not mind people helping me sometimes but when it is all the time at this arena because the doors are too heavy for me to open them it is a pain in the butt and honestly a bit embarassing. I dont mind asking for help but alot of the time i like to do most things on my own.Which is why they should have a button in this area at the arena so us people in chairs do not have to ask for help or just have people helping us because they see us struggle. the man in the video was not asked to help open the door, he just saw that i was struggling and opened it for me.
