British Rail Scotrail-Glasgow Queen St Low Level 1993
The latest upload is a request from a subscriber, shots of Glasgow Queen Street Low Level. There used to be a class 37 loco hauled train from the West Highland Line which terminated in the Low Level platforms in order to avoid having a shunt release loco+crew which was needed upstairs in the terminal platforms. Also seen are some class 303+320 EMUs. If you liked the video please subscribe to my channel, there are lots more transport & quirky vids to upload!

1080p HD!
After its closure for several months this summer to allow work to be carried out in the tunnel outside Glasgow Queen Street, ready for electrification the E & G is now open once again. This is the fastest, most frequently used line between the two Scottish cities, with a service every 15mins in each direction, taking less than an hour! So I went to some of the stations along the route in order to catch some ScotRail 170's at speed!
This video includes footage taken at Polmont, Falkirk High, Croy and Lenzie and features all 3 types of ScotRail DMU's, 170's, 158's and a 156.

TRIP REPORT | Scotrail Hitachi Class 385 | FIRST CLASS | Glasgow to Edinburgh *HD*
Welcome to my next Trip Report, conducted during my time in Scotland after my last Trip Report on the Caledonian Sleeper. This report looks into the brand new Hitachi Class 385 EMU's that have recently entered service with Scotrail on the Glasgow to Edinburgh route. This route has also been recently electrified as part of a massive upgrade to Scotland's railways. I decided that since I would be required to transit between the two cities, why not do it on the brand new service. Join me as I try out the all new Hitachi AT200 trains between Glasgow and Edinburgh!

Leo's Top Tip: You cannot purchase advanced fares for First Class journeys between Glasgow and Edinburgh - this is simply due to the fact that most trains currently don't have First Class, so rather than rip you off, Scotrail make it so that anyone can purchase an upgrade onboard, it's just £5 per person! So don't be worried if you can't get a First Class fare. Do note this is correct as of October 2018 and this may change in 2019.

Scotrail Glasgow abbrasiveness
I'd booked assistance for a journey that involved transferring between trains arriving at Glasgow Central Station and leaving from Glasgow Queen Street Station. So Scotrail had promised me a taxi to transfer between the two. But nobody told the staff at Glasgow Central.
The Scotrail duty manager then treated me with appalling unhelpful and accusatory abbrasiveness, reducing me to tears.
UPDATE: 17th August 2018: I'm impressed with this letter from Scotrail.
Dear Mr Paulley,
I have recently joined ScotRail as the Customer Service Manager for South Strathclyde stations which includes GlasgowvCentral.
I have been informed of the unfortunate situation you found yourself in on Saturday 14 July when Network Rail failed to provide assistance to you when you arrived at Central Station, and how a ScotRail member of staff was extremely unhelpful. I believe (name redacted) has been in contact to apologise for what happened and to let you that that the matter was subject to investigation.
There has been a thorough investigation both by Network Rail and ScotRail to establish the reason for the failings. We have identified that there was a breakdown in communication which Network Rail has taken steps to address.
From the perspective of the unhelpful staff member, the matter has been subject to extensive investigation. Unfortunately, I cannot share the outcome of any disciplinary proceedings with you as this is personal information which we cannot disclose. However, I can give you my word that the matter has been dealt with in a way which will mean you should not encounter any further incidents of an unhelpful nature at Glasgow Central.
I should make it clear that the service you received on 14 July falls far short of the standards expected from ScotRail staff. I am extremely sorry that you experienced this and that it had such an impact on your holiday.
As a gesture of compensation, I would like to offer you and your companion a free return journey on the ScotRail network and will also pick up the cost of rail travel to and from your home and Scotland. Please contact me when you would like to take up this offer and I will arrange this for you.
ScotRail strives to continually improve our services to customers and values any feedback good or bad. I would urge you to keep in touch with us and share your experiences and provide us with any suggestions on how we can keep improving our customers’ journeys.

British Rail Scotrail-Glasgow Central 1989
Some shots of the action at Glasgow Central in 1989. As well as Inter-City trains, 86, 90 & 87 101, there were lots of units whizzing in & out-303 & 318 EMUs and 101, 107 & 120 DMUs. The only traction still seen in Glasgow today are the 318s, everything else has been withdrawn or sent south, and even the 90s are on borrowed time in Anglia! ScotRail Class 385 AT200 Glasgow Queen Street to Edinburgh Waverley 25/9/18
This is the return journey from Glasgow Queen Street to Edinburgh Waverley. During my day in Glasgow, I was hoping that my journey on the way back to Edinburgh that I'll be travelling back on board the new Class 385 AT200. So once I arrived at Glasgow Queen Street Station, it was coming to the afternoon rush hour so I saw the new Class 385 AT200 pull into the Platform and hoping that will be the 16:15 to Edinburgh Waverley and once my Platform was called, it was definitely what I wanted so I was very pleased and got this very chance of travelling on them so I did.
The journey started off very well until after we called at Linlithgow, we got held up and we were running late back to Edinburgh Waverley 25 minutes late due to late running trains from Inverness, Dunblane and Stirling. We arrived back at Edinburgh Waverley at 17:31 which as definitely 25 minutes late than usual which not that good but I enjoyed the journey on those new trains in the end anyway.
The Stations in the video include:
Glasgow Queen Street
Falkirk High
Polmont
Linlithgow
Edinburgh Park
Haymarket
Edinburgh Waverley
Enjoy!
Operator: ScotRail
Train: Class 385 AT200
Departure from Glasgow Queen Street: 16:15
Arrival at Edinburgh Waverley: 17:06-17:31 (25 minutes late) due to late arrivals of other trains on the line from Dunblane.
Date: 25/9/18
British Rail-Scotrail Glasgow Central Low Level+Motherwell 1989
Another film from BR Scotrail days, this time some shots of Glasgow Central low level and Motherwell. Featured are a class 107 DMU and 303s, 311s & 314s, some of the 303s were unrefurbished and probably due for scrapping, the refurbs were used for DOO conversion of some of the local services. ScotRail Class 365 Networkers | Glasgow to Edinburgh
This video is property of Train_PlaneHub, RachaelMatt
2160p 4K HD!
There's been a lot of changes across Britains railway network lately with trains relocating to new operators up and down the country. With the recent electrification of the E&G (Edinburgh & Glasgow line) Scotrail took delivery of their new class 385 express trains. However their were a few teething issues with them. One quite important one being that drivers couldn't actually see signals due to the restrictive view from the cab. So with this in mind ScotRail are temporarily using these to fill the gaps in the timetable during their unit shortage. Networkers, class 365's which were previously found operating commuter routes out of London King's Cross.
Nothing is set in stone as to how long the 365's will stay north of the border but for now enjoy catching these Networkers between Glasgow Queen St and Edinburgh.

In this next route learning video we take a short journey along the Glasgow Airport Rail Link route from Glasgow Airport to Glasgow Central in the scenario 'Dirsuption in Govan'. We will be calling only at Paisley Gilmour Street on the way, and our traction for the journey will be a Scotrail Class 380.
I have included information about stations, speed limits and braking points. Apologies for any lag or stutter.
I forgot to mention that after the junction where we join the Ayr line the speed limit increases to 45mph.
