PIG HUNT RIPPER SCULPTURE
Sculpting a Pig's Head
This sculpture was originally intended for another project. As that failed horribly, it stands alone as a pig's head, adding a bit of decoration to my sculpting table. I used fire clay over a hard foam sphere and cone.

My friend Chance and I spent a day exploring Tallin, Estonia. I made a film about it.

Bronze Night aftermath, meeting with Peeter Ernits, XVI
Bronze Night aftermath, Nochnoi Dozor members meeting with Peeter Ernits, the chairman of Estonian Journalists' Union. In Tallinn 22.01.2009. In Russian. Ernits says that he has personal tie to the bronze statue. The author of the statue was his neighbour, Enn Karlovich (Roos), as he was called, was everyday guest at his house. He is good friend to the elder daughter of the author, Linda Roos. She told that it is not an Alyosha but Sõdur Sass (Soldier Sass-Alexander), the name that was used by the author. His model was an Estonian. It is strange where did the name Alyosha come from. It appeared some years before the removal of the statue. Ernits tells that every year he counted the people who gathered near the statue and the officials didn't like the numbers. Dozor member describes how one of the remnants of those buried near the statue was dug out some years before. But this action was stopped after the Jewish community reacted as this was an old burial ground of Jews. There is a question how many TV-cameras were put up in the city before the Bronze Night and who were the Estonian guys with bags full of stones, who came to assist the Russian rally. And why didn't the policemen react to the mass destruction. Ernits tells that he has heard stories about a black bag filled with stones. There is a question, why didn't the prosecutors use the cctv cameras that were all around the city and fixed the faces of those who firsthand broke the windows. Ernits says that this is news to him. A dozor member says that Dmitri Ganin, who was murdered that night, wasn't found on the videotapes, although the cameras pointed at him. Another dozor member tells that some of the arrested guys were taken to Tartu and were severely beaten, until they confessed that (Dmitri) Linter and (Maxim) Reva were the organisers of the Bronze Night. Those guys were so severely beaten that their photos were not included in the case firsthand.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! SUMMARY
=======
After Nazi Germany invaded the Soviet Union on June 22, 1941, Army Group North reached Estonia in July. Initially the Germans were perceived by most Estonians as liberators from the USSR and its repressions, having arrived only a week after the first mass deportations from the Baltic States. Although hopes were raised for the restoration of the country's independence, it was soon realized that they were but another occupying power. The Germans pillaged the country for their war effort and unleashed The Holocaust in Estonia during which they and their collaborators murdered tens of thousands of people (including ethnic Estonians, Estonian Jews, Estonian Gypsies, Estonian Russians, Soviet prisoners of war, Jews from other countries and others). For the duration of the occupation, Estonia was incorporated into the German province of Ostland.
