AZ Trip | Sedona and last days in AZ.
(July 24-27, 2015) Our last AZ vlog. We ended out Roadtrip visiting Sedona which was a really pretty town. The red rocks there were amazing. Then we headed back to my inlaws home where we hung out and got some family time in before we headed back to Arkansas. This was such a fun trip and was so happy that our kids got to spend time with their family.
Haven't seen my last vlog: We went to the Grand Canyon!
Lets keep in touch! :D

History of Sedona Arizona
I 'm at Jordan Historical Park home to Sedona
Heritage Museum. The museum is a great way to learn about Life in Sedona... starting with the pioneer families of the 1870's through the colorful movie history of the 1940's and 50's. Let's take a quick trip back in time.
In 1876 J.J. Thompson and his wife Margrett were the first white settlers to establish a homestead in Oak Creek Canyon. Others followed suit as the creek and mild climate provided a natural environment for produce farms, orchards and cattle ranches.
In 1902 Carl Schnebly, established the first post office naming the small hamlet after his wife Sedona.
During the 1920's Sedona was discovered by the film industry...and continuing today the beauty of Sedona is seen around the world as the dramatic Red Rocks form perfect backdrops for movies and commercials.
To learn more of Sedona's colorful history Be sure to visit Jordan Historical Park in Uptown. It's open everyday from 11-3,
except major holidays.
In the early days, Oak Creek Canyon allowed the
settlers to flourish. Today it's a haven for recreation and relaxation.

Sedona Snowpocalypse! in HD
Part One. March 18th and 19th, 2012. After a fairly mild winter, a late winter strom hit us with the heaviest snows we've received in years. Snow in Sedona's red rocks is beaufitul. It melts quickly from the streets and trails but remains in the shadows and crevices of the rock monuments for weeks. Snow like this is rare in Sedona. We typcially receive only three or four snows each year, accumulating less than four inches. This 2012 two-day storm droppped almost twelve inches. Not a lot compared to Flagstaff, but a lot for Sedona.
When visiting Sedona, please check out my shops:

SEDONA ARIZONA CULTURAL CENTER AMPHITHEATER-ABANDONED AND BANKRUPT-EP42
Discovered this mysterious, abandoned, bankrupt, massive amphitheater while on a Sedona City Trolley Tour. We were so dumbfounded by the size and scope of this failed Jewel of Sedona, that we simply had to make a special trip to come back to explore it up close.
Make no mistake, ......if you have ever experienced a show at The Red Rocks in Colorado, you will be as heart broken as we were walking around. How could this thing have failed? How could such a wealthy community as Sedona let it sit and rot, unused, for 15 years? Why wouldn't any town cherish having their very our Red Rocks ?
Come with us as we share our findings, have our hearts broken looking at the lost dreams and visions of the developers, and continue to travel through America on Our Journey In Myles.

Summer travel destinations with Paula Zahn in 1980 - Part 1: Yuma, Phoenix, Sedona, Jerome
In Part 1 of this series on summer travel, News 8’s Paula Zahn and her crew headed east to Yuma, Arizona, passing sand dunes to arrive at Yuma Territorial Prison Museum. In 1980, the state historic park charged 50 cents for adults to explore and was free for children. The museum is still open to this day and in 2019 their admission was listed at $8 for adults. Other stops on Zahn’s trip to Arizona included: Painted Rock State Historic Park, Phoenix, Scottsdale, Flagstaff, Jerome, Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon. On that last stop, Zahn even braved a trip down Slide Rock. Total spending after the first leg of the journey was $224. See more:
Of course, a well-known journalist and newscaster, Zahn went on to anchor for many major networks including CBS News and CNN. She is currently the host of “On the Case with Paula Zahn” - a true crime docu-series which she also produces for Investigation Discovery.

Sedona Snow Day Two! in HD
Sedona Snowpocalypse! Day Two in amazing HD! This year's winter in Sedona was mild, barely any snow. The sun was out almost every day, and the temperatures often rose up to 70 F. And suddenly (March 18th and 19th, 2012), the biggest storm we've had in years blew through town. Over two days, it dumped a foot of snow on the red rocks. We don't see snow often here in Sedona, so I stepped out with my video camera. Enjoy.
When in Sedona, visit my stores:

Beautiful Sedona: Cathedral Rock, Energy Vortices and the Chapel of the Holy Cross
In today's video we're going to visit Montezuma's Castle, and then boondock in the forest. We'll visit the Chapel of the Holy Cross, hike Cathedral Rock (and break my main camera in the process), and one of the famous energy vortices. Finally we will go to Flagstaff, and see the observatory where dwarf planet Pluto was discovered.
