„You try your best, that’s what life is about.” At 75 years of age, Cliff Denton is still in his prime. His workshop in Sheffield is one of the few remaining refuges for an old trade: scissor making. Cliff walked the factory halls for the first time in 1968. MYVAN made its way to Sheffield, England, to visit Cliff and the factory of Ernest Wright Scissors. Not only do we witness their Sprinter’s versatility. Stunned by the result of precise craftsmanship, we met one of the last scissor makers in the world.

Sundays are upmarket in Huddersfield, with a monthly shopping event on New Street (near Primark), attracting over 100 stalls and 4000 visitors.

Browse antiques, collectibles, and arts and crafts, try contemporary and vintage fashions for size; then sample Yorkshire food and drink and treat yourself to some delicious street food. With live music and quirky street entertainment, Upmarket Sundays in Huddersfield are the perfect way to round off a relaxing weekend.

In addition to the unique range of shopping available there is entertainment and activities for all the family to enjoy. Children can decorate their own plant pots and sew these with seeds which will grow into peas and tomatoes at home.

The market is open at 10.00am and closed at 4.00pm on the second Sunday of each month.
