Noble Hike to the Great Stupa, Shambhala Retreat Center, Colorado
A Noble Hike (start with intention, introduce conscious breathing, silent walking, sitting quietly at destination, return sharing observations with others or continue reflecting. Here, I start at the Shambhala Retreat Center (near Red Feather Lakes area about 45 minutes from Fort Collins, CO), demonstrating the simplicity of the hike and briefly discussing meditation while inside the Great Stupa. Enjoy and share a description of your next Noble Hike, no video necessary!

Dowdy Lake (Red Feather Lakes) - In A Colorado Minute (Week 174) [HD]
--- ---
Dowdy Lake in the Roosevelt National Forest is the largest lake in the Red Feather Lakes area. It's a gorgeous place for fishing, filming, camping, wild life watching and playing with your dog.
Whiskey Valentine had just learned to swim after a ball the day before at Horsetooth Reservoir - so she had clearly just become a real dog. You do see that this needed to be celebrated appropriately in my 1-minute video for the week, right?
Scott didn't catch anything in the lake that day - but the next day he caught a beautiful trout in the river. Oh, yes, this is the good life.
The music is an instrumental version of the Four Dollar Wine song Some Times. Since I'm the one who spliced the instrumental sections together, I have to apologize if I botched it a little bit - especially to Thimo Sander, who wrote the music.

Mat Ishbia - donothing Podcast Interview with Rob Dube
Whereas most successful high-level executives point to business juggernauts like Warren Buffet, Steve Jobs or Elon Musk as their biggest inspirations, Mat Ishbia attributes his own extraordinary career trajectory to a different kind of leader—acclaimed Michigan State University basketball coach, Tom Izzo.
After winning the 2000 NCAA Men’s Basketball National Championship under Izzo’s leadership, Mat took the lessons he learned on the court like top-down respect, family-like teamwork and constant hard work into the corporate world. Today, Mat is the President and CEO of United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM) with more than 3,000 team members.
Mat’s a visionary who combines a keen business mind with a unique ability to create an award-winning corporate culture that has been lauded nationally. UWM has been recognized as a Tech-Savvy Lender by Mortgage Technology magazine and the gold standard for client service, both within the mortgage industry and across the general business landscape.
His high-energy, relentless pursuit for innovation and pragmatic perspective of the mortgage industry has accelerated UWM as the number one wholesale lender and number two overall purchase lender in the nation.
Mat is also one of the “Most Influential Mortgage Professionals Under 40” and a Vanguard Award winner by HousingWire. He’s also widely recognized as a prominent advocate for mortgage brokers nationwide, promoting wholesale mortgage brokers on CNBC, Fox Business and Bloomberg TV.

Thupten Jinpa - donothing Podcast Interview with Rob Dube
Today, I’m humbled and honored to talk with Thupten Jinpa. Born to displaced Tibetan refugees, Jinpa was raised in India. At just 11, he decided to become a monk and join a monastery. While there, he was connected with His Holiness (H.H.) the Dalai Lama as a new translator. Jinpa has been the Dalai Lama’s principal translator since 1985.
After over a decade in the Tibetan monastic order, Jinpa left to pursue a B.A. in philosophy and a Ph.D. in religious studies, both from Cambridge University—all with an emphasis on compassion studies. He achieved both and also holds the Geshe Lharam degree.
Today, Jinpa is the founder and president of the Compassion Institute, the Chair of Mind and Life Institute, founder of the Institute of Tibetan Classics, and an adjunct professor at the School of Religious Studies at McGill University. He’s also the main author of CCT (Compassion Cultivation Training), an eight-week formal program developed at Stanford University.
Over the years, Jinpa’s translated and edited numerous books by the Dalai Lama including the New York Times Bestsellers, Ethics for the New Millennium, and The Art of Happiness. He’s also written several works of his own including Mind Training: The Great Collection, Self, Reality, and Reason in Tibetan Philosophy, A Fearless Heart: How the Courage to be Compassionate Can Transform Our Lives and co-authored Dispelling the Darkness: A Jesuit’s Quest for the Soul of Tibet.
Enjoy watching my enlightening conversation with Thupten Jinpa!

Hai Nguyen - donothing podcast with Rob Dube
I’m thrilled to share the conversation I had with Call-Em-All’s co-founder and VP of Engineering, Hai Nguyen. Watch Hai’s inspirational story and learn about his family’s escape from Vietnam, how he adjusted to life in the U.S., when he achieved major success in tech, what makes Call-Em-All’s company culture award-winning, how he integrates mindfulness into his daily life and much more.
Hai Nguyen was born in Vietnam, but he and his family fled his home country to discover a new life in the United States. Stability didn’t come easily—Hai encountered many obstacles along his path to entrepreneurship, from culture clashes between Hai and his parents to the ups and downs of the startup world. However, through perseverance, incredible talent and a willingness to take risks, Hai ultimately achieved success as the co-founder of Call-Em-All, an automated calling and texting service.
Today, as Call-Em-All’s VP of Engineering, Hai focuses on finding creative ways to help customers by developing smart design and engineering solutions. He’s also committed to building a business for the long haul. This includes supporting an amazing culture which has earned Call-Em-All multiple awards as a top place to work. Hai aspires to continue doing meaningful work well into his 100s.
