MARCEL LUCONT'S WHINE LIST
The wine-sipping, suit-wearing, soft-speaking Frenchman is back. Erudite, blunt, rude and hilarious. Flâneur, raconteur, bon-viveur, and easily the greatest French comedian working in the UK. Expect louche musings, dry wit and Gallic superiority as he treats us with an utter contempt and disdain that is almost masochistically enjoyable and very funny.
The multi-award-deserving deadpan Frenchman brings his acclaimed show to Bournemouth after a 30-date tour of the UK and a 4-month tour of Australia and New Zealand. He serves up a unique Whine List from the audience's past woes and misdemeanours. A kind of group therapy experience, but where everybody will probably leave more depressed.
“Fresh, accessible and hilarious”
The Guardian
Who can resist Marcel Lucont?... Pulling clever punchlines out of every interaction with his audience... Sometimes arrogance is bliss”
★★★★ The Scotsman, Edinburgh Fringe
“Hilarious… Comedy doesn’t get much better than this”
★★★★★ The Advertiser, Adelaide Fringe
“Truly excellent… comedy at its very best”
★★★★★ FringeReview, Prague Fringe

The Vanishing Man - Shelley Theatre 2017
The Vanishing Man - Friday 3rd February 2017 at Shelley Theatre Bournemouth. Tickets at shelleytheatre.co.uk
Hugo Cedar was an Edwardian magician known as “The Vanishing Man”; he created the perfect trick and then disappeared forever, but his story lives on…
Directors and performers Simon Evans (magical consultant to the NT, Old Vic and Donmar Warehouse, and two-time recipient of the Close Up Magician of the Year award) and David Aula (‘The Cement Garden’, ‘Personal Enemy’, and ‘MEAT’), team up to create a time-hopping, misdirection-abusing, mind-bending examination of what really happens when a man, in full sight of his audience, simply ceases to be.
This is the story of a magic trick: the greatest one ever performed.

From the Beach at Shelley to Old Harry Rocks to Poole Harbour.wmv
As you walk down Manor Chine at the end of Shelley Park you come to the sea, after walking across the wide soft sand that stretches for miles in either direction, you look out across the bay. To the east the Needles at the end of the Isle of Wight and to the west at the end of the bay 'Standfast Point' or, to the locals 'Old Harry Rocks' Come take a trip with me to the other side of the bay and have a look at the rocks and Studland Bay looking back as we go at the shore line and contemplate what Shelley would think of the times and the beautiful day that we have been so fortunate to enjoy. That he would have enjoyed when he was living here.
