Shelter Point 2017 Spring Release Single Malt Canadian Whisky
Canadian single malt whisky from Campbell River, British Columbia on Vancouver Island.
24 hours in CAMPBELL RIVER, BC What is there to do?
I had 24 hours to see as much as possible of Campbell River. These were my favorite highlights and recommendations of where to stay, visit and shop in Campbell River, British Columbia, Canada.
Campbell River is located on Vancouver Island and about a 4 to 5 hour drive from Vancouver including a BC Ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver to Departure Bay in Nanaimo, BC.
Campbell River is know for it's fishing, camping, whale watching and all things outdoors so I started by visiting it's most famous tourist attraction Elk Falls Provincial Park. Elk Falls Provincial Park has a number of hiking trails but without question the highlight is the waterfall and the Elk Falls Suspension Bridge. The suspension bridge was build in 2015 and is already one of your must stop visits when visiting Campbell River.
Our next stop was Shelter Point Distillery. Shelter Point Distillery is located just south of downtown Campbell River but a must visit if you're in the area. They offer free tours of the distillery along with a wide range of spirits to taste and purchase. Be sure to check times and hours of operations before visiting.
Echo lake in Campbell River was somewhere we just happened to stumble across. I was hoping to visit Upper Campbell Lake but it was just to far for our 24 hour visit of Campbell River. Echo Lake was right beside the highway, I good spot to pull over and enjoy nature.
While there's a ton of options to choose from if you're camping in Campbell River we stayed at the Quinsam Campground at Elk Falls Provincial Park. The Elk Falls Campground is located just off the highway, 5 minutes to downtown Campbell River and a 5 minute drive to the Elk Falls parking lot. If you get a campsite right on the
river it's gorgeous but all the campsite are very private and large so you can't go wrong with any of the campsites.

Shelter Point Distillery {From Field To Flask}
Producing this project with Shelter Point Distillery was fantastic. Patrick & James approach the work they are doing with an energy and zest for life and learning. When you're around them it feels like anything is possible. It didn't take long to get us inspired and creative in how we were going to tell the story of Shelter Point Distillery. And we had a great time doing it!
We loved filming the sights and sounds of the wildlife that live and thrive on the farm; capturing harvest shots from a 40ft lift and getting covered in chaff as the combine roared by our cameras during the barley harvest in September; feeling the heat of the copper pot stills as they transformed foaming frothing barley brine into distilled alcohol in October; ducking for cover from the spray of an overfilled whisky cask during barrelling in mid November; and hearing the unique sounds of traditional Scottish cooperage tools in action as they opened an aged whisky cask to show us the copper & oak infused colors of liquid gold in December.
Most of all, we loved watching Patrick and James work with excellence and a sense of adventure as both farmers and whisky distillers.
Shelter Point Distillery is located on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. It is blessed with a near perfect mix of fertile soil, sunshine, abundant fresh water and mild weather. These ingredients are here to produce a true 'Field to Flask' single malt whisky.

Alecia & Rob - Wedding Highlights
Alecia + Rob were a real pleasure to film. We had a great time with them on their pre-wedding shoot and on their wedding day as well. The wedding ceremony length broke records - and was finished in under 8 minutes...8 minutes!! Between Robs nerves and Alecia's veil almost falling out of her hair twice, the ceremony was full of laughter and tears. Alecia looked fantastic, and Rob stayed standing...ha! Love you guys!
Friends mean everything to these two - and their support and love was evident throughout the whole weekend. Refurbishing the clubhouse @ Sunnydale with about 100 framed portraits of Alecia and Rob along with hand made floral decorations created a cozy space for a lively reception. Everyone pitched in to make this day really meaningful.
Alecia + Rob were married at Crown Isle Resort in Courtenay, BC
Reception was held at Sunnydale Golf Course in Courtenay, BC

Lewis
Lewis is the northern part of Lewis and Harris, the largest island of the Western Isles or Outer Hebrides of Scotland. The total area of Lewis is 683 square miles.
Lewis is, in general, the lower lying part of the island, with the other part, Harris, being more mountainous. The flatter, more fertile land means Lewis contains the largest settlement, Stornoway, and three-quarters of the population of the Western Isles. Beyond human habitation, the island's diverse habitats are home to an assortment of flora and fauna, such as the golden eagle, red deer and seals and are recognised in a number of conservation areas.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

SUMMARY
=======
The following is a list and timeline of innovations as well as inventions and discoveries that involved British people or the United Kingdom including predecessor states in the history of the formation of the United Kingdom. This list covers innovation and invention in the mechanical, electronic, and industrial fields, as well as medicine, military devices and theory, artistic and scientific discovery and innovation, and ideas in religion and ethics.
The scientific revolution in 17th century Europe stimulated innovation and discovery in Britain. Experimentation was considered central to innovation by groups such as the Royal Society, which was founded in 1660. The English patent system evolved from its medieval origins into a system that recognised intellectual property; this encouraged invention and spurred on the Industrial Revolution from the late 18th century. During the 19th century, innovation in Britain led to revolutionary changes in manufacturing, the development of factory systems, and growth of transportation by railway and steam ship that spread around the world. In the 20th century, Britain's rate of innovation, measured by patents registered, slowed in comparison to other leading economies. Nonetheless, science and technology in Britain continued to develop rapidly in absolute terms.
