San Diego's history can be seen at a glance. This place is a Native American village and town, except for the first time in San Diego formed. In 1850, the first Texan settlers lived Robinson James Robinson Rose House. At the time this two-storey house railway offices, newspapers, private office for their cold was the center of San Diego's economy. This place has old buildings such as darudeon Court of sinners, post office, bank and shops. And guarding the front of the store owner, Indian dolls town of this land. This building is where we used to at the time the court, watching the sheriff's office. Inside the building, and at the time of the release of this tool and used books are on display, one has hung a portrait of a stern judge who expressions. Next to the building is a place with a time bank president and stagecoach office. It feels as if in a replay favorite like the Wild West, I could see a variety of attractions. Among them, it is by far the most fun in the snow ttuieotdeon nine to notify cattle nimdeul using the stagecoach and wagon and charming sense rules. First, if you eat Eat just want to share a drink with other people who have come out of this. Fifth, do not be mistaken as a pillow on the shoulder of the passenger. Ninth, gentlemen committed to the rude lady passengers need to get off the wagon. Return time is the yen so far away. Notice the other side is next to an interesting stagecoach was attached land at the time of carriage Wanted strength. As such stagecoaches of the Old Town Square is giving fresh fun for tourists. A rare whale fossil has been pulled from a Southern California backyard.
The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County says the 16- to 17-million-year-old baleen whale fossil is one of about 20 baleen whale fossils known to exist.
The fossil, lodged in 1,000-pound (454-kilogram) rock, was hoisted from a ravine by Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department search-and-rescue volunteers. Using pulleys and a steel trolley, crews pulled the fossil up a steep backyard slope and into a truck bound for the museum.
The fossil was discovered by 53-year-old Gary Johnson when he was a teen exploring the creek behind his family's home. Johnson called Thomas after a whale fossil was recovered in January at a nearby school.

The historical town was originally incorporated in 1946 and fell into the hands of San Bernardino County in the late 1960s. The winding, 4-mile (6.4 km) drive northwest to Pioneertown from Yucca Valley has been designated a California Scenic Drive and the area is now surrounded by privately and federally protected lands.

Sheriff Garcia addresses naturalization ceremony 4/25/12 HOUS
Visiting the memorial at the McStay Family crime scene in Victorville, CA
The McStay family was found murdered in the desert near Victorville, California, on November 13, 2013. The family disappeared from their home in Fallbrook, California, on February 4, 2010. The McStays' disappearance was widely reported on national news stations and on America's Most Wanted, Disappeared, Nancy Grace, and Unsolved Mysteries.
The circumstances surrounding the family's disappearance and the lack of clues about their whereabouts triggered speculation by amateur sleuths online. After their disappearance, it was speculated that the McStays left voluntarily, since investigators found searches on the family's computers for What documents do children need for traveling to Mexico? and Spanish language lessons. Because their car was found so close to the Mexican border, police reviewed surveillance footage of the pedestrian gate into Mexico. Video recorded the evening of February 8, released on March 5, showed a family of four resembling the McStays crossing the border into Mexico. On February 19, 2010, California police notified Interpol to be on the lookout for the family. In April 2013, the San Diego Sheriff's Department announced that it believed that the McStays traveled to Mexico voluntarily.
Unconfirmed sightings of the family were reported in Mexico and elsewhere, perpetuating hopes that they were safe and had left voluntarily. Relatives of the McStays doubted that they would travel to Mexico, saying that Joseph and Summer avoided the country because of the safety threat posed by recent drug wars. Other critics of the theory noted that the McStays had more than $100,000 in bank accounts, with no withdrawal of funds in preparation for a trip, and their accounts were untouched after their disappearance. Summer's sister said Summer's passport was expired. Although it is possible for a U.S. citizen to enter Mexico without a passport, one is required to reenter the United States.
Summer had been known by a number of names. Born Virginia Lisa Aranda, she had also been known as Summer Martelli, Summer Aranda-Martelli, Lisa Aranda, Lisa Martelli and Lisa Aranda-Martelli. In an early video interview, her mother confirmed that Martelli was the surname of Summer's stepfather, but it was once alleged to have been invented by Summer. In a February 25, 2010 Valley News article, Sheriff's Lieutenant Dennis Brugos confirmed that Summer McStay had used various names including her stepfather's last name of Martelli, although she was never adopted by him. She took ten years off her age, although there was no confirmation that she used the alternative birthdate on any legal document. Family members insisted that the name change was only a facet of Summer's mental illness.
Many people were quick to blame Summer's ex-boyfriend, Vick W. Johansen, who had just got released from prison shortly before they vanished. San Diego law enforcement also investigated webmaster Dan Kavanaugh, who was writing himself unusually large checks from Joeseph's business account within days after the disappearance and over a week before they were reported missing. Despite the nefarious activities, it is reported Kavanaugh was in Hawaii at the time of the disappearance. Investigators and the public also focused on McStay's business partner, Charles Chase Merritt, born circa 1957, who was the last known person to have had contact with Joseph McStay, and the first to notice his disappearance. According to state records, Merritt had felony convictions for burglary and receiving stolen property. His most recent felony conviction, in 2001, was for the theft of $32,000 worth of welding and drilling equipment from San Gabriel Valley Ornamental Iron Works in Monrovia, California.
In 2013, Merritt acknowledged he had spent more than an hour with Joseph McStay the day the McStay family went missing. Merritt, who reportedly was the last person McStay called from his cell phone, also said that he had passed a polygraph exam and did not know anything that could help solve the mystery of the family's disappearance. When asked if he thought Merritt was a suspect, Joseph McStay's father Patrick said, I have to have faith in Chase because I have to have faith in my son. I believe that [Joseph] trusted Chase and believed in Chase. Do I think Chase is involved? I don't think so, and I truly hope not.
On November 5, 2014, detectives from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department arrested Chase Merritt in connection with the deaths of the McStay family after discovering that his DNA had been recovered from the McStays' car. His arrest was announced on November 7, 2014. Merritt is charged with four counts of murder, and the district attorney is seeking the death penalty. In July 2015, Merritt's defense attorney filed a request to have the case dismissed because of the wording used by the prosecution when the charges were filed. The trial began on January 7, 2019 in San Bernardino, California.

DUI Repercussions on NBC 7 San Diego
-- Aired 8/30/13. Consumer Bob from NBC 7 News interviewed Ross Jurewitz, personal injury attorney and founder of the Jurewitz Law Group, to explain the repercussions of a DUI to viewers and to remind drivers to be extra careful during the holiday season where more drinking typically occurs.
Ross said, People think that the more often they drink and drive, the more often they think they can get away with it. It is this false thinking that encourages drivers to continue risking their lives and others by continuing to drive under the influence.
The ramifications criminally, civilly, and for your personal well-being are horrible, said Ross Jurewitz. Getting a DUI in California, even on a first offense, can be in upwards of $10,000 or more and stay on your record for about 10 years. Even if you can't afford to pay it off and file for bankruptcy, you will obligated to pay it no matter what.
For those that are planning to drink, make sure to have a designated driver, hire a cab, or stay at a hotel room for the night. The risk of a DUI is NOT WORTH IT!
Please drink responsibly.
