The Ehekarussell, actually Hans-Sachs-fun fountain, is a large-scale architecture fun fountain in the center of Nuremberg in the immediate vicinity of the White Tower. The fun fountain was commissioned by the city of Nuremberg in 1977 to 1981 by the Brunswick sculptor Jürgen Weber designed and built in 1984. The game was developed aufreinigende water (Prof. Führböter) on light-Institute of the Technical University of Braunschweig. The occasion was a circular underground -Entlüftungsschacht that is hidden in the middle of the fun fountain. By the former Nuremberg planning officer Otto Peter Görl the idea to conceal the shaft opening with a fun fountain came from.
Due to the expressive figurative representations that were considered parts of the population and the press as part drastically vulgar, but also because of substantial budget overruns the artwork was initially highly controversial. The dispute about the artist, the pseudo-baroque sensualism was accused flared again with the preparation of the ship of fools fun fountain, also by Weber in 1988, on. The fun fountain is now considered one of the most important modern art in the city and a tourist attraction.
At the written for the wife of the poet's poem The bittersweet eh'lich 'life of Hans Sachs ajar, shows the well in six-than-life figure groups pictorially overstates the different scenes from the ups and downs of married life - from the first passionate love about marital discord to death. The fun fountain consists of painted and partly fire-gilded bronze figures. On a pedestal is also the author of the topics imaging text, Hans Sachs, is shown.
The Baroque-style pool enclosure consists of white-gray marble, parts of the base are made of colored marble. The marble sculpture Rosenstock on the west side consists of green and pink veined Portuguese marble. Weber has worked out of the green sediments rose petals from the rose-colored blossoms. The fun fountain has suffered by climbing damage, especially smaller crashes on the marble parts. The gilding is mostly rubbed off. The designed by the artist iron fence around the fun fountain - which would have protected against vandalism - was not commissioned by the city of Nuremberg in order.
There is a fundamental difference between natural and artificial fun fountains. fun fountain in which the water must not be transported upwards, are natural fun fountains. These are located in places where the ground water is under pressure because the water table is higher than the bottom and thus has a high hydraulic potential. There, a hole is made, through which the water in a natural way to escape. This is called artesian source. The artesian wells, which from the ground as water jet austretend was evident, 1126 for the first time as used in Artois. The just-declared fun fountain among the deep wells. However, the easiest fun fountain is a simple catch basin is collected with water from a source before it can become a stream. Artificial fun fountains are usually made of fun fountains, cascades, spray nozzles and waterfalls.
The ancient Greeks were apparently the first who aqueducts to distribute employed, driven by gravity fun fountain water. According to ancient historians, there were fun fountains at the latest in the 6th century BC in Athens, Corinth and other ancient Greek cities as endpoints for aqueducts that carried water from springs and rivers in the cities. In the 6th century BC, the Athenian ruler built Peisistratus the main fun fountain of Athens, the Enneacrounos in the Agora or in the main square of the city. It had nine large cannons, streamers or that supplied the residents with drinking water.
In the Baroque fun fountains show with cascades and fun fountains large the force and mass of the water. The water should connect with the architecture. A famous example is the Fontana di Trevi. In the Baroque garden fun fountains originated as ponds with artificial caves and water organs. At Versailles, the king demanded that all water games ran at the same time. Since this was impossible due to the scarcity of water, the water was pumped from the River Seine and only where there was the king led to the corresponding fun fountains.

CLIP DESCRIPTION:
German judges are in disbelief that they could have condemned so many to die. Pohl explains how the Nazis killed millions.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
After the end of World War II, the world gradually became aware of the full extent of the war crimes perpetrated by the Third Reich. In 1948, a series of trials were held in Nuremberg, Germany, by an international tribunal, headed by American legal and military officials, with the intent of bringing to justice those guilty of crimes against humanity. However, by that time most of the major figures of the Nazi regime were either dead or long missing, and in the resulting legal proceedings American judges often found themselves confronting the question of how much responsibility someone held who had just followed orders. Judgment at Nuremberg is a dramatized version of the proceedings at one of these trials, in which Judge Dan Haywood (Spencer Tracy) is overseeing the trials of four German judges -- most notably Dr. Ernst Janning (Burt Lancaster) and Emil Hahn (Werner Klemperer) -- accused of knowingly sentencing innocent men to death in collusion with the Nazis. Representing the defense is attorney Hans Rolfe (Maximilian Schell), while prosecuting the accused is U.S. Col. Tad Lawson (Richard Widmark). As the trial goes on, both the visiting Americans and their reluctant German hosts often find themselves facing the legacy of the war, and how both of their nations have been irrevocably changed by it. Judgment at Nuremberg also features notable supporting performances by Marlene Dietrich, Judy Garland, and Montgomery Clift. Originally written and produced as a play for television, the screen version of Judgment at Nuremberg was nominated for 11 Academy Awards, with Maximilian Schell and Abby Mann taking home Oscars for (respectively) Best Actor and Best Adapted Screenplay.

Nurnberg Easy Victory (World of Warships) - Play with Noob
Nurnberg Easy Victory (World of Warships) - Play with Noob
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nürnberg was a German light cruiser of the Leipzig class built for the Kriegsmarine. She was named after the city of Nuremberg and had one sister ship, Leipzig. Nürnberg was laid down in 1934, launched in December of that year, and completed in November 1935. She was armed with a main battery of nine 15 cm (5.9 in) guns in three triple turrets and could steam at a speed of 32 knots (59 km/h; 37 mph). Nürnberg was the longest-serving major warship of the Kriegsmarine, and the only one to see active service after the end of World War II, though not in a German navy.
In the late 1930s, Nürnberg took part in the non-intervention patrols during the Spanish Civil War without major incident. After the outbreak of World War II in September 1939, she was used to lay defensive minefields off the German coast. She was thereafter used to escort offensive mine-layers in the North Sea until she was torpedoed by a British submarine in December 1939. She was thereafter used as a training ship in the Baltic Sea for most of the rest of the war, apart from a short deployment to Norway from November 1942 to April 1943. In January 1945, she was assigned to mine-laying duties in the Skaggerak, but severe shortages of fuel permitted only one such operation.
After the end of the war, Nürnberg was seized by the Royal Navy and ultimately awarded to the Soviet Union as war reparations. In December 1945, a Soviet crew took over the ship, and the following month took her to Tallinn, where she was renamed Admiral Makarov. She served in the Soviet Navy, first in the 8th Fleet, then as a training cruiser based in Kronstadt. By 1960, she had been broken up for scrap.

Operation Eichmann (Preview Clip)
Operation Eichmann:
Adolph Eichmann, architect of Hitler's heinous final solution which resulted in the murder of six million Jews, escapes Germany at the end of WWII. But two intrepid Israeli agents vow he will not escape justice. Released when the real-life Eichmann trial had the world riveted, the uncompromising Operation Eichmann tells the story of a Nazi zealot drunk on the power to send millions of his fellow human beings to their deaths in gas chambers. And it tells the story of Israeli agents David and Jacob, who miraculously survived one of Eichmann's mass executions when they were children. A 15-year manhunt is on as Eichmann and his mistress hopscotch the globe, pursued by David, Jacob and more dedicated Nazi-hunters, who sometimes wonder if it is better to kill than to capture Eichmann. A suspenseful adventure, a political thriller, and a true-life tale of good and evil: that is Operation Eichmann.

Judgment at Nuremberg 1961: I cannot say I am sorry ...
CREDIT:
Movie: Judgment at Nuremberg
Date: Monday, December 18th, 1961
Director: Stanley Kramer
Writers: Abby Mann (based on his original story) and Montgomery Clift
Stars In Video Clip:
Spencer Tracy: Playing Chief Judge Dan Haywood
Werner Klemperer: Playing Defendant Emil Hahn
DESCRIPTION:
In 1948, an American court in occupied Germany tries four Nazi judges for war crimes. Judge Dan Haywood (Spencer Tracy) arrives in Nuremberg in 1948 to preside over the trial of four Nazi judges, each charged with having abused the court system to help cleanse Germany of the politically and socially undesirable, allegedly guilty of war crimes. The opening statement of the defense attorney (Maximilian Schellk) is brilliant. For it is not only Ernst Janning (Burt Lancaster), a single defendant, a renowned German champion of justice who appears to have played the greatest role in molding Germany's Ministry of Justice into a destructive instrument of Nazism who is on trial here, it is the German people.
SCRIPT:
Chief Judge Dan Haywood: The defendants may now make their final statements. Defendant Emil Hahn may address the tribunal.
Defendant Emil Hahn: Your Honors, I do not evade the responsibility for my actions. On the contrary, I stand by them before the entire world. But I will not follow the policy of others. I will not say of our policy today that it was wrong when yesterday I say it was right. Germany was fighting for its life. Certain measures were needed to protect it from its enemies. I cannot say that I am sorry we applied those measures. We were a bulwark against Bolshevism. We were a pillar of Western culture. A bulwark and a pillar the West may yet wish to retain.
A BIT ABOUT WERNER KLEMPERER:
A Half-Jewish, Werner Klemperer ( played the character Emil Hahn in the movie Judgment At Nuremberg. In real life, Klemperer fled the Nazi regime with his family in 1933. His family made their way to Los Angeles, where his father obtained a conducting post. Klemperer began acting in high school and enrolled in acting courses in Pasadena before joining the United States Army to fight in World War II.
Emil Hahn (played by Werner Klemperer, a real-life refugee from Nazi Germany) is one of the four defendants in the movie Judgment at Nuremberg. The character Hahn knowingly sentenced innocent men to deaths in collusion with the Nazis. In the film, Emil Hahn is straightforwardly bad, unrepentant and the most overtly Nazi of the defendants. Hahn justifies his actions as necessary in order to defeat Bolshevism (a strategy developed by the Bolsheviks between 1903 and 1917 to seize power by establishing a dictatorship) in Germany.
FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION:
The Greek playwright Sophocles wrote in Electra (c 409 B.C.), 'The end excuses any evil,' a thought later rendered by the Roman poet Ovid as 'The result justifies the deed' in 'Heroides' (c. 10 B.C.). Source: Later Niccolò di Bernardo dei Machiavelli (1469-1527) would write that the ends justify the means (
Questions:
1. Are morally wrong actions sometimes necessary to achieve morally right outcomes?
2. Are actions only considered morally right or wrong by virtue of the morality of the outcome?
3. Can any action, no matter how unethical or immoral, be justified for the purpose of any reasonable or needed outcome.
4. Does the end excuse any evil?
5. Does the result justifies the deed?
6. Does the end justify the means?
7. If the end excuses any evil, do you really want to stand with any evil?
If the current situation is evil (i.e., bad) is it wise to strengthen and further the evil in order to defeat the evil? In my opinion, furthering evil in order into to stop evil is a form of insanity.
In the abortion debate, I've been asked a similar question. Can equality for women be achieved at the expense of murdering their children? My answer is NO! More of my thoughts can be found here:
