Today, Charly and Victor head over to Wanko Soba Tachibana over in Kanagawa prefecture, only 30 minutes south of Tokyo, to try out some authentic Japanese food that originates from Iwate prefecture.
Wanko Soba are buckwheat noodles that are served in small bowls in portions of about a mouthful. They are eaten in quick succession to a rhythm as the shop attendant quickly refills your bowl over and over again.
There is a catch, however! When you feel full and want to call it quits, you must be able to close the top of your bowl before the attendant pours another serving of noodles in.
It's definitely a fun experience as the shop attendant cheers you on and to challenge any friends/family that are willing to try it with you!

One of the bigger German Christmas Markets in Japan is actually located over in the Yokohama Aka Renga (red brick warehouse) district! Here, you can try one of the many German and unique Japanese dishes as well as a variety of beers. The restaurants inside the red brick warehouses also offer a lot of choices and their are also many shops to pick up souvenirs or every day items!
In today's video, we meet up with Meg and Loretta to enjoy the great food available at the Christmas Market and to relax as the year comes to an end. Luckily for Victor, they also have shops that sell churros, but will he find that special churro he is searching for?
Also in the video: Santa! Christmas lights, a view from Osanbashi pier, and ice skating in Yokohama!
YOKOHAMA CHRISTMAS MARKET INFORMATION
DEAN & DELUCA, Sweets Paradise, Antenor
Many of the cakes have to be purchased with a reservation, though you can also find them readily available at many department stores and bakeries all over Japan.
Price: Free Entry! Prices for foods vary from ¥300 upwards to ¥3,000 for big plates of food. There is a ¥1,000 deposit fee for beer glasses that is returned to you when you return the glass.
Thoughts: Overall the food was ok, a bit overpriced, but the biggest complaint is that most of the food was cold. If you go, make sure to ask them to make it fresh.

Isomura is located in Ginza, Tokyo, and has been mastering the art of Kushiage for a while now. But what is Kushiage? The concept is simple: it's fried food on a stick! From meat to vegetables to seafood, there are a ton of varieties.
Usually people would order the Omakase Set, meaning it's up to the chef to decide what he is going to serve you. On your table you will find different sauces, but don't worry, the staff explains which sauce goes best with each little skewer. The service stops once you ask for it to stop (otherwise it will keep on coming).
It's a fun concept that makes each bite more and more exciting. We definitely recommend checking out Isomura for some of the best Kushiage out there for a reasonable price!
