Skunk Cabbage Boardwalk
Not in Alberta, but this place was beautiful and such a kid friendly hike, so I have to share :)
The Skunk Cabbage Boardwalk is a 1.2 kilometer nature trail that allows access to and protects a natural wetland community that is found in Mount Revelstoke National Park near Revelstoke, British Columbia
Let's Visit (June 2016) - Skunk Cabbage Trail
Skunk Cabbage Trail Boardwalk in Mount Revelstoke National Park, BC, Canada. Surprisingly, it didn't stink at all there, but it was a rather decent walk with lots of birds chirping. The headcam was being tested, and as you can tell, I didn't quite get it right the first time. Still, it's a nice showing of an underrated, fully ADA accessible trail. It's also my first video of a decent length.

Hey Wanderers’ Army! Welcome back to another “On the Trail” video. Today’s video is going to focus in on the Skunk Cabbage Boardwalk located in Mount Revelstoke National Park. The Skunk Cabbage Boardwalk is a 1.2-kilometer loop trail that is a trail consisting of a hard packed surface and wooden boardwalks making it fully accessible to all users. As you walk along the 1.2-km loop you will be provided with stunning views of the Selkirk Mountains and the wide variety of birds that make this area their home.

ROAD TRIP! Exploring the Boardwalks of Revelstoke and Glacier National Park
We took a road trip to the HEMLOCK GROVE BOARDWALK in Glacier National Park and got spooked out! The boardwalk was creepy and felt haunted - the forest was over 350 years old! We continued on our road trip to REVELSTOKE NATIONAL PARK and visited the GIANT CEDARS BOARDWALK and the SKUNK AND CABBAGE BOARDWALK too! It's always so much fun to explore a new place! Let's G0!

Kids in the Skunk Cabbage Patch & 'It Ain't Gonna Rain No More'
27 August 2016
Exploring Skunk Cabbage Boardwalk, Mount Revelstoke National Park, Revelstoke, British Columbia Canada on the Trans Canada Highway (Highway #1).
My daughters, Cheri & Keri, singing, It Ain't Gonna Rain No More! It had been raining all weekend - but the sun broke for this rendition.
This is one of many songs sung by my mother, Claire, born in 1917 and from the Ottawa Valley, .
It was our family gathering at Canyon Hot Springs Resort. We swam and relaxed in the pools while watching the rain and cloud formations against the backdrop of the spectacular Columbia Mountains.
We 'gathered' from BC, AB, SK Canada and AU.
The song was impromptu - with little prompting! Always a laugh with those two.

Hiking
Giant Cedars Boardwalk Trail | Native Forest | Canada
Another one of my favourite places, and such a great hike! Sadly, this one is just out of reach of Alberta :)
Follow the Giant Cedars Boardwalk Trail, a very accessible walk through native forest that allows people of just about all levels of fitness to see British Columbia’s mighty cedar trees. The boardwalk is part of the expansive Mount Revelstoke National Park, so enjoy the opportunity to see one of its most awe-inspiring features without having to hike far.

Just about 10 miles round trip. A beautiful hike through the forest to the ocean. Had a great lunch for Easter and hiked back out! Secluded beach on the Humboldt County Coast!
