Maui epic scuba diving - Hawaii 2014 GoPro Hero 3
Recent scuba diving video from Hawaii. Two Maui shore dives (Olowalu and Makena Landing). Boat dives locations - Lanai (1st Cathedral, 2nd Cathedral, Fish Rock), Molokini crater. I used GoPro 3 Black Edition with and without red filter plus Sola 500 video light. All in HD.
I had 6 (time limited) boat dives (not so cool for the price) and 2 shore dives (very cool) I was diving with two different companies. Boat dives with Lahaina Divers. Amazingly most of my video made on shore dives thanks to Mike from Maui Diving Scuba Center. Best on the island if you looking for enthusiastic and knowledgeable dive instructor. Super cool time underwater.

Cliff House, Maui
A reef visit to Cliff House on Maui revealed a conger eel & banded coral shrimp housekeeping, juvenile Hawaiian lionfish laying low, spry fantail filefish & a spotted toby friend, and a school of young pennant fish enjoying the day. We haven't seen this abundance of juvenile reef fish in some time. The fantails are making a comeback now that Maui aquarium collectors are gone.

Travel Guide to Maui, Hawaii (Part 1)
In this travel video guide to Maui, Hawaii, I travel to Maui and start off by heading to Haleakalā National Park to watch the sunrise from the highest volcano in Maui. On this part of the island, clouds form at the base of the volcano, and as the sun rises, a myriad of colors form and provide an unforgettable visual experience.
Next I throw on a wet suit and hit the waves to learn how to surf -- my first time ever. Though I've ridden the New York City subway after happy hour before, I was still a little unsure about how my balance would be on a surfboard. Luckily, the surf instructor had a black labrador dog out on her board with us in case anything went terribly wrong.
Finally, I wrap up the day by heading to the beach with a ukulele to have a jam session with a local Maui resident and ukulele player, where we jam out to some Bob Marley as the sun set over the Pacific Ocean, framed by the nearby islands of Moloka'i and Lana'i.
For more information on the surfing lessons I took, visit and for information on where I stayed at during the first half of my trip and took my ukulele lesson, visit and check out for info on where I stayed the second half of my trip.

Dolphin spotting near Lana'i, Hawaii (2/3)
Aboard the vessel Lanakina, captained by Captain Dave and his partner in crime, Bob. After sailing around the island of Lana'i, where we spent the day snorkeling and surveying shipwrecks and rock formations (between huge pig-outs of sandwiches and fruit and macaroni salad, unveiled like clockwork by our 2-man wrecking crew). As we finally headed back to port (Lahaina, Maui) from the southern end of Lana'i, we were immediately surrounded by a SUPERPOD (go here if you don't believe me! - of Hawaiian Spinner dolphins!! Filmed on Monday September 12 at around 2:00 pm.

Shark Attacks German Tourist in Hawaii - Bites off Arm!
Shark Attacked a German female tourist snorkeling near the beach. 4th Shark Attack in Maui this year! UPDATE! 20 year old German girl had an encounter with an unidentified shark 150 feet off the shore of White Rock beach in Maui, Hawaii around 5pm on Wednesday.
The shark attacked her while she was snorkeling and chewed off her arm just below the shoulder. The girl was unconscious after the bite and was taken to Maui Memorial Hospital by her 2 friends and a bystander in a kayak.
As of today the girl's name has not been released but she appears to be in stable condition and looks like she'll survive.
Hawaii had 11 shark attacks last year, the most in over a decade, but Hawaii has not had a fatal shark attack since 2004 when a surfer died after being bitten by a tiger shark 300 feet from the shore in Maui.
While tiger sharks are one of the most deadly sharks to humans, reports are suspecting it was an ocean whitetip that attacked the girl.
If you are going to swim at a beach that has any danger of sharks, it's best to have others around you and you should always avoid the water at dusk or dawn.

Exclusive Maui Luxury Penthouse Vacation Rental at the Papakea Resort
In 2010, renowned local 'renovator-extraordinaire', Bob Marshall completed a top to bottom renovation and the results are in.
It has gone from 'drab to Fab'!
Check out all the pictures in the gallery and make sure you watch till the end as that is where you will also find a video; situated at the end of all the photos in the gallery.
This recently renovated condo has had an 'out with the old, in with the new' extreme makeover. Everything was stripped to the walls and has been transformed into a modern and gorgeous home. With the renovations came new furniture, appliances, electronics, linens and newly stocked kitchen. There's simply too much to list.
The custom kitchen has stainless steel appliances and fine features such as glass tile back splash and granite countertops. All bathrooms are also all new throughout with new sinks, toilets, showers, tubs and towels. Bedrooms have also been updated with new furniture, mattresses and high thread count linens throughout.
The master bedroom has a king size bed and 32' flat screen HD TV, with adjoining en-suite complete with double sinks, tub and shower. It is also equipped with a very large closet.
The second bedroom on the lower level has a queen size bed and 32' flat screen HD TV. This bedroom adjoins to the main bathroom, which also has double sinks, a shower and a smaller closet.
We thoughtfully designed the penthouse/loft area to be family friendly that could sleep up to 8 people. Perfect for families with kids, this loft area has one queen sized bed and a couch that can pull out to be a double hide-a-bed. In the back bonus room is yet another sleeping area with a queen and full bed. The loft also has it's own third bathroom with a single sink and shower as well.
There are thoughtful accents, hand picked and placed by our professional interior designer throughout the entire condo, from visually pleasing lights (check out the green mango leaf lamp shades and fun coral lamps) to fine features such as bamboo flooring, plantation style and shaker style cabinet doors and original artwork. The living room also has a 50 Smart TV and a comfortable seating area perfect for visiting or just lounging around.
Designed with functional comforts such as a new tri zone air conditioning system and new ceiling fans coupled with the visual appeal of what feels like a brand new show home with too many new and wonderful features to list.
We love to cook ourselves so you will find a fully stocked kitchen complete with some pay it forward items such as condiments and spices, left from previous guests. You will also find a number of barbeques poolside available to you on a first come, first service basis.
We love little extra's and have placed them all around, such as a second wine/beverage fridge, an ample supply of beach towels, hair dryers, an iPod docking station/clock radios in each bedroom and for those with small children; a play pen and a high chair.
There is a “Fun Cupboard” so please help yourself to anything in the closet next to the bar fridge in the front room. It’s a push door so “push” to pop it open. We like to call this the “Fun Cupboard” because we never know what is in there as it can change. We have left things for you to enjoy and other guests have done the same. Could be things such as coolers, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, boogie boards, snorkel masks and fins, golf clubs and balls for the mini putt and various sand toys. Enjoy!
We have also provided a starter set of the following items to help you get settled in:
• Paper Towels
• Toilet Paper
• Liquid Dish Soap
• Liquid Hand Soap
• Dishwasher Pods
• Laundry Pods
• Kitchen Trash Bags
The condo is situated so that when you are in the kitchen, your view out the lanai (balcony) is a straight on shot of the ocean. It's a spectacular way of waking up in the morning and what a breathtaking view to cook a meal with.
One of our favorite things to do is to wake up and enjoy some Kona coffee on the lanai every morning or then enjoy some 'pupus' (that's Hawaiian hors d'oeuvres) in the afternoon. With the gorgeous and comfortable outdoor furniture, we guarantee it will be one of your favorite things to do as well.
Our condo is thoughtfully intended to be 'spa like' with hints of island paradise accents all around you making it so warm and inviting. We've designed our 'little piece of Heaven' to be enjoyed by families or couples just wanting to get away to their own private oasis and with your rest and relaxation in mind.
We would like to welcome you. Our home is your home and welcome home!

Blue Hawaiian Helicopters - Maui new Launiopoko
Blue Hawaiian Helicopters
The West Maui mountain valleys can only be seen from the air. Don't miss seeing these valleys on a West Maui or West Maui and Molokai helicopter tour. More of this beautiful scenery can be seen on our website and is all included in our video production Visions of Hawaii, available on DVD and BluRay from our estore.
THE BLUE HAWAIIAN DIFFERENCE There's simply no argument: Blue Hawaiian is Hawaii's #1 helicopter tour company. Blue Hawaiian's aircraft maintenance technicians have received the FAA's coveted Certificate of Excellence, Diamond Award every year since 1998. No other helicopter tour company in Hawaii has ever received this critical recognition. Blue Hawaiian was honored by the FAA for its record 12th straight year in January, 2009, at a ceremony in Honolulu, and the FAA further honored Blue Hawaiian with the very first Certificate of Excellence, Platinum Award. And Blue Hawaiian is the only helicopter tour company in Hawaii certified by the Department of Defense.
Welcome to the Blue Skies of Hawaii. Blue is the only helicopter tour company serving all four major Hawaiian islands: Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island. That means wherever you go in the Islands of Aloha, you know exactly how to get the world's finest aerial tours: just remember the color of the sky.
We don't just operate the best equipment, we help develop it. From the ultra-quiet, spacious, and powerful 21st-century Eco-Star helicopter to the breakthrough Garmin G500H technology, which gives our pilots astonishing three-dimensional synthetic vision terrain awareness in less than optimal weather; from our pioneering of multi-camera in-flight video, to designing vastly improved cockpit air-conditioning—Blue Hawaiian is always at the forefront of leading-edge innovations for your safety, comfort, and enjoyment. Because when it comes to our guests, good enough is never enough.
The finest pilots in the sky. Blue Hawaiian prides itself on hand-picking only the finest and most experienced pilots—the absolute cream of the profession—and every one of them is a State of Hawaii Certified Tour Guide. Blue Hawaiian is also the only helicopter tour company in Hawaii with its own state-of-the-art Flight Simulator, and the only one that puts its pilots through annual factory and FAA recurrent training.
