An online presentation on Timaru's historic water supply. A joint production from the New Zealand Historic Places Trust (NZHPT) and the South Canterbury Museum for ICOMOS (International Council for Monuments and Sites) World Heritage Day 'The Heritage of Water', 2011.
Includes interviews recorded by NZHPT staff members Zoe Roland and Robyn Burgess with local landowners and historians while touring the Pareora Dam, water courses and reservoir, overlaid against contemporary and historical photographs from the South Canterbury Museum collection.

HOLDEN Send Off, Timaru, South Canterbury, NZ.
Well finally i have a quick video slapped together.
On the 29th October, a good number of people gathered at Smallbone Holden, Timaru for a send off to the fantastic HOLDEN product. From 1948 when the first HOLDEN rolled off the production line till now 2017, the end is unfortunately here. No more Holdens will be produced, manufactured in Australia.
I know myself personally will stick to Holden, especially the Holden Commodore, having owned 8-9 of them, just a fantastic vehicle and many, many people here in New Zealand would have been brought up with Holden, many, many thousands, millions of kilometres would have been clocked up as they pounded the roads of NZ and of course their birth place, Australia.
This video is timelapse, which i set up the night before and also some amazing drone footage from Phoenix Aerial Images, who too, can be found here in Timaru, South Canterbury.
To all those at Smallbone Holden, great job in putting this together, great line up of vehicles and great to see a good number turned out on a dreary, fogged out Sunday morning, but of course the sun squeezed through the mass of fog and wow, well presented cars were sparkling.
Was hoping to have more to this video clip, but the end is here for my computer, struggled to get this video up as the processor and graphics card is more or less ready for the bin. Had to put this together blind, as could not play the timeline as i was putting it together.
