A video showing Patong Beach in the late afternoon and early evening. Not much editing, just the sights from what I captured.
Overall Patong beach was very nice, clean and had a lot of foreign tourists relaxing at the time I visited.

THAILAND BEACH IN LOW SEASON, THAILAND TRAVEL, HOLIDAY IN THAILAND, THE BEST ISLAND IN THAILAND
THAILAND TRAVEL, HOLIDAY IN THAILAND, THE BEST ISLAND IN THAILAND, The Phi Phi Islands (Thai: หมู่เกาะพีพี, rtgs: Mu Ko Phiphi, pronounced [mùː kɔ̀ʔ pʰīː.pʰīː]) are an island group in Thailand, between the large island of Phuket and the west Strait of Malacca coast of the mainland. The islands are administratively part of Krabi province. Ko Phi Phi Don (ko (Thai: เกาะ) meaning island in the Thai language) is the largest island of the group, and is the most populated island of the group, although the beaches of the second largest island, Ko Phi Phi Lee (or Ko Phi Phi Leh), are visited by many people as well. The rest of the islands in the group, including Bida Nok, Bida Noi, and Bamboo Island (Ko Mai Phai), are not much more than large limestone rocks jutting out of the sea. The Islands are reachable by speedboats or Long-tail boats most often from Krabi Town or from various piers in Phuket Province.
Phi Phi Don was initially populated by Muslim fishermen during the late-1940s, and later became a coconut plantation. The Thai population of Phi Phi Don remains more than 80% Muslim. The actual population however, if counting laborers, especially from the north-east, is much more Buddhist these days. The population is between 2,000 and 3,000 people (2013).
The islands came to worldwide prominence when Ko Phi Phi Leh was used as a location for the 2000 British-American film The Beach. This attracted criticism, with claims that the film company had damaged the island's environment, since the producers bulldozed beach areas and planted palm trees to make it resemble description in the book,[1] an accusation the film's makers contest. An increase in tourism was attributed to the film's release, which resulted in increases in waste on the Islands, and more developments in and around the Phi Phi Don Village. Phi Phi Lee also houses the Viking Cave, where there is a thriving industry harvesting edible bird's nest.
Ko Phi Phi was devastated by the Indian Ocean tsunami of December 2004, when nearly all of the island's infrastructure was destroyed. As of 2010 most, but not all, of this has been restored. There are six islands in the group known as Phi Phi. They lie 40 kilometres (25 miles) south-east of Phuket and are part of Hat Nopparat Thara-Ko Phi Phi National Park[2] which is home to an abundance of corals and marine life. There are limestone mountains with cliffs, caves, and long white sandy beaches.[3] The national park covers a total area of 242,437 rai (38,790 ha).
Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Lee are the largest and most well-known islands. Phi Phi Don is 9.73 square kilometres (3.76 square miles): 8 kilometres (5.0 miles) in length and 3.5 kilometres (2.2 miles) wide. Phi Phi Lee is 2 kilometres (1.2 miles). In total, the islands occupy 12.25 square kilometres (4.73 square miles). Hat Noppharat Thara - Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park is influenced by tropical monsoon winds. There are two seasons: the rainy season from May till December and the hot season from January till April. Average temperature ranges between 17–37 °C (63–99 °F). Average rainfall per year is about 2,231 millimetres (87.8 inches), with wettest month being July and the driest February.[2]
Transportation and communication[edit]
Roads
Since the re-building of Ko Phi Phi after the 2004 tsunami, paved roads now cover the vast majority of Ton Sai Bay and Loh Dalum Bay. All roads are for pedestrian use only with push carts used to transport goods and bags. The only permitted motor vehicles are reserved for emergency services.[citation needed] Bicycling is the most popular form of transport in Ton Sai. Bicycles have been banned on the island except for children.[citation needed]
Air
The nearest airports are at Krabi, Trang, and Phuket. All three have direct road and boat connections.[citation needed]
Ferry
There are frequent ferry boats to Ko Phi Phi from Phuket, Ko Lanta, and Krabi town starting at 08:30. Last boats from Krabi and Phuket depart at 14:30. In the green season (Jun-Oct), travel to and from Ko Lanta is via Krabi town only.[citation needed]
There is a large modern deep water government pier on Tonsai Bay, Phi Phi Don Village, completed in late 2009. It takes in the main ferry boats from Phuket, Krabi, and Ko Lanta. Visitors to Phi Phi Island must pay 20 baht on arrival at the pier. Dive boats, longtail boats, and supply boats have their own drop off points along the piers, making the pier highly efficient in the peak season.
CONFUSING THAILAND TRAVEL DAY | Ao Nang To Koh Lanta Bus & Ferry
Time to see more of Thailand and Krabi so we head from Ao Nang to Koh Lanta, on the bus and ferry option, but not smoothly! ✈ Our 220 page guide on how to travel for a living —
Apparently saying we're heading from Krabi to Koh Lanta on the bus and ferry was wrong, according to Stace (fine, and Google) Koh Lanta is still part of the Krabi Province - Thailand keeps confusing me with their provinces :P Krabi or not, Ao Nang has been a blast, but it's time to keep the travel alive and grab a minivan and ferry combo to the island vibes of Koh Lanta.
Getting to Koh Lanta took a lot longer than the ticket time, but when it comes to travel days in Thailand you often just have to sit back and roll with it, nothing else you can do and getting mad doesn't change anything other than your mood. Despite the time it took, we're still pleased we took the bus / minivan option and not the ferry only - we've heard some pretty bad stories of how crammed they are and limited air con, or just having to stand outside in the sun, wind and salt for hours on end.
Check out our Koh Lanta accom, such a good spot:
Koh Lanta is freakin awesome by the way. We love it here. Have a few videos to share from Ko Lanta but we both got the flu and didn't explore as much as we would have liked.
K bye.

Welcome back to part nine of our camping series. In this episode we camp a few nights in the quiet, well maintained Thung Salaeng Luang National Park. Thung Salaeng Luang National Park is a savannah grassland terrain with high mountainous ranges. The national park covers an area of 16 square kilometers and is covered in naturally endowed pine trees and wild flowers. Thung Salaeng Luang National Park is the watershed of streams that build the Nan River which spread across Phitsanulok and its neighboring province Phetchabun. The park is suitable for trekking and hiking.

We also check out something REALLY cool and that's the Khao Kho Wind Farm. A 5.5-hour drive away from Bangkok to Khao Kho will transport you to a magical town above the clouds.
Due to the cooler temperature, the scenery is vastly different from the Thailand you are used to. What makes Khao Kho so special? There are sweet strawberries, multi-coloured blooms and freshwater jellyfish, amongst other things! But the coolest thing is the Khao Kor or Khao Kho Wind Farm.
This may be the biggest Wind Farm in Thailand, locates on the local road 2305,separates from 2196,main attraction route of Khao Kho. There are 24 Windmills, standing on hill landscape of about 1050m above sea level. Ar the parking area, there are many food and tribal souvenirs stores

Koh Lanta National Park's Cliffs, Beaches, And Lighthouse - Thailand Travel Vlog 2019
Time to put the scooter to use! We take a 50 minute ride through Koh Lanta, Thailand to Koh Lanta's National Park on the southern tip of the Island! Such a beautiful place to spend the day.
The drive was a nice a simple drive at least. Koh Lanta has one main road running through it pretty much so you don't have to worry about missing turns or dealing with busy intersections which was a plus. You drive through some smaller rural areas throughout the journey and get to see the whole Island and that a lone was worth the travelling. Scooters are so fuel efficient that might as well put a few kilometers down and see the landscape right?
After the beautiful drive, it was time to prepare the descent into the park. To get to the park you slowly climb in elevation, and then take a steep hill down to sea level where the main area and parking for the park is. The park consists of sandy beaches, a little walk up to the light house on the tip of the island, walking through the palm trees connecting the beaches, and a steeper 2 hour + hike that circles the whole park. We saw you can even book an overnight camping option for the park apparently where you rent a tent and all the supplies. That would be quite the adventure as well I'm sure.
The scenery is just so lovely here. When we were taking in the view from the hill top by the lighthouse we spotted a bunch if small and medium sized fish swimming around the rocks. Farther out I noticed a large fish also swimming through the crystal clear water. From the distance we were at I swear it could have been 4 feet long it was definitely something else to see. Unfortunately we managed to forget to grab our snorkels so we didn't get to go swimming around all the fish but still went for a swim on the less rocky, beautiful beach side of the light house. We were originally planning on doing the 2 hour hike around the park but pretty much right when we got high enough to a viewpoint of the park Alysha's sandal broke and we called that a good point to turn back. The path went from the viewpoint up in to a denser jungle. It is steep, hot and humid so be prepared if you choose to venture deep in, and pack some water!
Overall this was a great travel day compared to the usual relaxation in the main resort areas of the Island the provided a bit more adventure. It is such a fun experience driving the scooter with the wind blowing and being in control of pulling over whenever you'd like as opposed to taking a typical tour group like we tend to otherwise. Koh Lanta really was a great spot for us to get used to driving in traffic. The road had huge shoulders that people with slower scooters and families would drive on even so you can always hug the side and cars have more than enough space to safely go about their way.
After a big ol day of adventure we showered and cooled off being heading back for a bite to eat at our delicious local restaurant by the Yamaha dealer in between Saladan Pier and the 7-11 we used. We enjoyed our last bit of time in Lanta otherwise before preparing to have an early morning wake up coming up to catch a ferry from Saladan Pier and off to Phuket in next video!
So stay tuned for our goodbye leaving Koh Lanta and onward to the beginning of Phuket! (We get a scooter there as well, yay)
Thanks for tuning in as always, we appreciate you coming a long on our journeys with us! 6 Best Attractions Off the Beaten Path // Thailand Travel Guide
After backpacking in Thailand for 2 months, consciously avoiding tourists and visiting lesser known places I can wholly say that the right way to discover Thailand, is seeing it off the beaten path.
In this video I’m sharing the 6 best experiences, attractions and places to see in Thailand that are off the beaten track. Wondering what are the best places to visit in Bangkok? The best things to do in Phuket? What are the hidden gems and secrets of Thailand? Search no further!

6. The Library in Phuket:
Google Maps Coordinates of The Library in Phuket:
“The Library” is the perfect place to experience the authentic nightlife and nightclubs of Thailand.
Located on the island of Phuket, in an area called Old Phuket Town, The Library is an amazing club, where only locals go. If you want to know what it feel like to go out like Thai people do, this is the place to see.
5. Khao Mai Khew Cave in Koh Lanta:
Coordinates of the Khao Mai Khew Cave in Koh Lanta:
Information about getting to Koh Lanta:
Khao Mai Khew is an amazingly beautiful cave complex on the island of Koh Lanta. Entry to the cave is allowed only with a guide, which can be reserved on the spot at the small counter in the middle of the forest of Koh Lanta (the coordinates above lead to that counter). Make sure to bring comfortable clothes for walking, and water. The tour takes about 3-4 hours.
4. The Secret Beach of Koh Muk:
Coordinates to Morakot Cave (Emerald Cave) in Koh Muk:
Coordinates to Charlie Beach, where you can rent a kayak (make sure to ask for a flashlight as well!):
Getting to Koh Muk:
The Morakot Cave (Emerald Cve) on the island of Koh Muk is a magical place. Getting there requires stamina and a bit of guts, and it should be done with safety and care! Make sure you know what you’re doing and wear a life vest!
3. Authentic Bangkok: Somdet Chao Phraya:
Coordinates of Somdet Chao Phraya in Bangkok:
Somdet Chao Phraya is a neighborhood south of the more touristy center of Bangkok. There is no specific “thing” to do there. Rather, it’s a neighborhood that preserved some of the feel of Bangkok before it’s progression as a metropolitan, and to that end- just walking around, talking to the locals and breathing the atmosphere- is an incredible experience on it’s own. A must visit when going to Bangkok.
2. The Mae Hong Son Loop: Motorcycle Trip in Northern Thailand:
I followed the general guidelines offered by Lonely Planet, with some tweaks and changes of my own:
The Mae Hong Son Loop is a 700+ KM round in northern Thailand that starts and end in the city of Chiang Mai. It takes a minimum of 4 days and is most commonly done by bike (can also be done with a car). In terms of one singular activity, the Mae Hong Son Loop was undoubtedly the most memorable I had during my entire trip. The route passes through some of the most breathtaking views, sceneries and villages found in all of Thailand. When going off the beaten path in Thailand, the Mae Hong Son loop is an absolute must.
Note that this trip is not a child’s game. Please take all the right precautions before going about it. For any concerns, recommendations or question you have regarding the bike trip, please comment below.
1. The locals. explained in the video.

INCREDIBLE CHEOW LAN LAKE TOUR | Khao Sok national park, Thailand | Vlog 005
CHEOW LAN LAKE TOUR STARTS AT 07:44.
We fly down from Bangkok to Surat Thani and then bus it over with the locals (and a chicken!?) to Khao Sok National Park.
The next day we go on a one day lake tour of Cheow Lan Lake, the artificial lake that spans 185 sq km with Kwai Jungle Experience. With stunningly beautiful limestone cliffs towering over emerald waters it's clear why so many are now flocking there to visit. Follow along as we sightsee around the lake, visit floating bungalows and trek through the rainforest to a pitch black cave.
After a long day we eat an absolutely mind-blowing meal at Wind Song restaurant & bar, a fantastic restaurant in Khao Sok offering a large menu, full bar and proper espresso coffee. Get the massaman curry - you will not regret it. Also, the owner is the most welcoming and friendliest person we have met so far on our travels - he really is amazing.

Some like it hot, some prefer cold: In winter, many holidaymakers are drawn to the sunny south, while others dream of snowy mountain peaks. Tamina Kallert brought many ideas for winter trips from her travels around the world: sledding in the Salzburg region, snowshoeing in the Sauerland or a visit to a sauna on the North Sea beach. She found sun and warmth in southern Thailand, Madeira, the Seychelles and the Canary Islands.
