We Found an ABANDONED LOST City in Georgia
A few years ago we watched an episode on the History channel. Where they talked about a possible Mayan-American Connection. In this episode they wanted to film an ancient village in Northeast Georgia they believed could be connected to the Mayans, but was denied access by the USFS. With the help of a map from Georgia we found this place. Both the Creek and Cherokee Indians used names for the province around Track Rock Gap than mean “Place of the Itza.” Join us as we explore it...

National Infantry Museum, Ft. Benning, Columbus, Georgia, USA
The National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center is a museum located in Columbus, Georgia, just outside Fort Benning, the home of the infantry. The 190,000-square-foot museum opened in June 2009.
The facility tells the story of the United States Army infantryman, from the American Revolution to Afghanistan. The museum houses artifacts from all eras of American history and contains interactive multimedia exhibits. The National Infantry Museum emphasizes the values that are meant to define the infantryman, as well as the nation: loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity, and personal courage.
In addition to galleries, the National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center also consists of:
• The Patriot Park IMAX Theatre
• NIM Sim Combat Simulators
• The EST2000 Rifle Range
• The Fife and Drum Restaurant
• The Soldier Store Gift Shop
• Heritage Walk
• Memorial Walk of Honor
Until April 2008, the museum was housed in an old army hospital on Fort Benning. Space and conditions for the museum’s collection was inadequate. There was a failed attempt to raise money for a new museum in the 1970s.[citation needed] In 1998, the 501(c)(3) National Infantry Foundation was formed to plan, raise funds and to operate a new museum. The National Infantry Foundation has since formed a formal partnership with the army to manage the facility and its contents. The National Infantry Museum does not receive federal, state or city funding. Through its lease agreement with the National Infantry Foundation, the army reimburses the foundation for approximately 30 percent of the mueum’s annual operating expenses. The museum relies on donations, memberships and revenue-generating attractions such as the IMAX theatre, combat simulators, Fife and Drum Restaurant, Soldier Store and catering to cover operating expenses.
In April 2012 – three years since opening – the museum welcomed its 1,000,000th visitor. It has received coverage in national and foreign media and it received the Thea Award from the Themed Entertainment Association in 2011.
In October 2013, first Lt. Ashley White and Capt. Jenny Moreno, who had been part of a pioneering all-women team recruited for special operations combat missions and had died on night raids in southern Afghanistan, became the first two women to be honored at the National Infantry Museum's Memorial Walk.

List of American Civil War battles
The Battles of the American Civil War were fought between April 12, 1861 and May 12–13, 1865 in 23 states (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, and West Virginia), the District of Columbia, as well as the following territories: Arizona Territory, Colorado Territory, Dakota Territory, Indian Territory (present-day Oklahoma), New Mexico Territory, and Washington Territory, and naval engagements. These battles would change the standing and historical memory of the United States. While the origins of the war are complex, principal among them were the issue of slavery, and the interpretations of the Constitution and the rules, rights, and qualifications that it embodied. For lists of battles organized by campaign and theater, see: Eastern Theater of the American Civil War Western Theater of the American Civil War Trans-Mississippi Theater of the American Civil War Pacific Coast Theater of the American Civil War Lower Seaboard Theater of the American Civil War Category:Battles of the American Civil WarSome battles have more than one name; e.g., the battles known in the North as Battle of Antietam and Second Battle of Bull Run were referred to as the Battle of Sharpsburg and the Battle of Manassas, respectively, by the South. This was because the North tended to name battles after landmarks (often rivers or bodies of water), whereas the South named battles after nearby towns.

The San Diego Concert Band: American Civil War Fantasy (Bilik)
SDCB performing American Civil War Fantasy by Jerry Bilik, live from their America the Beautiful concert on 04-14-13 in San Diego, at Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Theater.
Roy S. Anthony Jr. is conducting.
American Civil War Fantasy (1971) [arr. JERRY BILIK] American Civil War Fantasy is a musical depiction of the mood of the United States before, during, and after the Civil War. The Fantasy begins with tunes that were popular during the mid-nineteenth century: Listen To The Mocking Bird, Dixieland (which was from a popular minstrel song), and De Camptown Races. From a distance, one hears the sound of drums and the strain of John Brown’s Body, announcing the first signs of the coming conflict. Little whispers of Dixie and The Battle Cry of Freedom become intermingled, and then comes the South’s rallying song, Maryland, My Maryland (O Tannenbaum). This gives way to the Union hymn, The Battle Cry of Freedom, and then When Johnny Comes Marching Home, representing the young Americans from the North and the South who were called from their homes to fight one another. The pre-war reverie winds down and weaves through the sentimental tune, Just Before the Battle Mother. The mood is broken by the thunder of drums as one pictures the first Northern armies on the move, Marching Through Georgia, and then the Southern troops’ retaliation, The Yellow Rose of Texas. The conflicting musical fragments lead to a cannonade of percussion. The noisy tumult dies away; The Battle Hymn of the Republic appears a Republic restored but not proud of its costly victory.
The San Diego Concert Band is a non profit organization and all volunteer band of musicans from the surround San Diego Community.
The conductor is Roy S. Anthony Jr, a nationally acclaimed and renowned musical educator and conductor. Mr. Anthony is a highly sought after band and orchestra clinician.
