Majesty of the Seas | Day 5 Vlog | Key West FL, Boogie Wonderland Show, and Last Day Procedures!
We are back to our home state of Florida! However, we are not fully home yet, because we are in Key West! This is our 5th and last day sailing on Royal Caribbean’s Majesty of the Seas! We had a no plan kinda day as we explored many of the hot spots in Key West! We started our adventure taking a free and informative trolley! Because Majesty was docked at the nearby Naval Base rather than the regular cruise port, a complimentary trolley was provided to transport us to the main part of town! Once we arrived to Old Town we walked and came across landmarks such as the mile 0 sign, the southernmost point of the contiguous U.S., Hemingway’s House, and Sloppy Joes! We also had fun exploring the island’s colorful fauna, cute houses, and even snacking on delicious candy! Once back on the ship we went over disembarking information, ate at the main dining room, viewed the theater show “Boogie Wonderland”, and briefly watched the ‘Battle of the Sexes’ game show in the Spectrum lounge! We had a blast on this sailing and we hope you enjoyed coming along with us! If you have any general questions please leave us a comment! If you would like help planning your own sailing please contact us via our travel agent information at the end of the video! Thank you for watching and Happy Travels! :)

The Haunting of Marrero's Guest House in Key West Florida
SPOILER: We have captured video evidence of paranormal activity! Two orbs, six spoken words, moaning, and the sobbing of what sounds like an adult woman.
We investigated Room 18 at Marrero’s Guest Mansion in Key West, Florida, supposedly the single most haunted room in all of Key West. Key West, Florida is thought to be one of the most haunted places in the United States. It has also become a vacation destination. The laid-back tropical lifestyle, rich nightlife and remarkable history are what draw many people back to the Keys year after year. Every little town has its secrets - and Key West holds a treasure trove filled with its own. Only its secrets are other-worldly. Tucked away in a tropical garden, yet built with the grandeur of old Victorian splendor, Marrero’s Guest Mansion is a charming bed and breakfast which is the perfect place for relaxation for visitors to Key West.
Stepping into Marrero’s Guest Mansion is like stepping back in time. The mansion is steeped in mystique and history and it has been lovingly updated and restores to bring back its former glory. It is now a bed and breakfast which features true island hospitality. The original architectural detail of the mansion remains the same. The mansion offers spacious guest rooms which have sleeping and sitting areas. All the rooms have been updated with all the conveniences you would expect from a modern hotel. There are 12 rooms in total to choose from. Many believe that the mansion’s original dwellers have chosen to remain behind after death to keep an eye on things.
Marrero’s was built in 1889 by a man named Francisco Marrero. He was a prominent cigar maker who owned a local cigar factory that is now another resort called The Southernmost Inn. Marrero fell in love with a woman 24 years younger than himself named Henriquetta Hernandez. Marrero built the mansion with the intention of luring Hetty, his young love, to Key West. His plan worked. Francisco and Henriquetta were married and had eight children together. While Francisco was away on business in Havana, he died from mysterious causes. Some say it was at the hands of a rival cigar maker. Henriquetta was devastated.
About six months after Francisco’s death, a stranger came from Cuba to claim the Marrero estate. Apparently, Francisco was married to another woman, his first wife, Maria Marrero in Cuba. They were never divorced. Henriquetta was banished from the mansion with her children on June 16th, 1891. After the court proceedings ended, Henriquetta publicly announced from her front porch, “This is my home forever. I will always remain in spirit.”
Henriquetta Marrero and all of her children died, most from tuberculosis or diphtheria, within a few years after being thrown out of their home.
She apparently returned to the house after her death. Both guests and hotel staff have felt her presence in the house, it is apparently strongest in Room 18. However, everyone is quick to agree that she is a benevolent spirit, just keeping an eye on things. After spending three nights in Room 18, we completely agree.
Francisco’s first wife sold off the house and all its contents and returned to Cuba. The house changed owners and purpose many times over the years. It was a casino, a bordello, a restaurant, and now a hotel. People have reported sensing Henriquetta in all the house’s different business settings.
It is said that if Henriquetta disliked guests, she would sway the chandelier back and forth. Crying babies at night at this adults-only establishment can be heard in rooms 17 and 23, the former nurseries. And there are the occasional doors locking and opening by themselves. We heard a crying WOMAN - it's on this video!
Those who have seen her climb the stairs believe there is nothing to fear. It is a benevolent spirit that comes to offer protection. Some feel a well-being, as if they were visited by a grandmother.
The silhouette of a gentleman, a man from another time, sometimes moves stealthily in the portal. Some say it is Francisco who has come to ask Henriquetta for forgiveness.
We are proud to share our investigation of Marrero’s Guest Mansion in Key West Florida.
Snoopet 136 - Travel Takeover - Diving The Vandenberg Wreck - Key West
Got to pull out our dive gear once more on this trip and dive the surprisingly warm water in Key West. I don't know why I was so surprised, seeing as how the Keys are practically in the Caribbean, but man it was nice in there. We dove the Vandenberg wreck, which is massive, absolutely massive. Two dives and we barely saw half of it. It is definitely worth a trip back just for this dive.
After the dive back to the hotel to meet the rest of the family, and head into town for some quality touristing. We visited the southernmost point in the United States, The Key West Memorial Garden, and grabbed some key lime Pie at Mattheessen's

Up until this visit, we were a little doubtful of the hype surrounding the Guanabana/Soursop fruit. All that we really knew about this tree was more in line with the medicinal nature of the cancer-fighting leaves. But, after hearing from multiple people who claimed that the flavor of this fruit surpassed many other tropical fruits - we were doubtful. That is... until we got to try it for the first time! The complexity of flavors completely blew our minds & we are now in the lifelong Guanabana fan club too!
Stick around for tomorrow's other half, where we get to visit the other fruits at her homesite, talk about rain collection, the history & the smart design of this one-of-a-kind property & home. This might be our best drone footage to date, too!
What an inspiring way to live! Thank you for your hospitality, Beth! (Plus, a big thank you to Erica Klopf for the introduction!)

SUMMARY
=======
Biscayne National Park is an American national park located in southern Florida, south of Miami. The park preserves Biscayne Bay and its offshore barrier reefs. Ninety-five percent of the park is water, and the shore of the bay is the location of an extensive mangrove forest. The park covers 172,971 acres (270.3 sq mi; 700.0 km2) and includes Elliott Key, the park's largest island and first of the true Florida Keys, formed from fossilized coral reef. The islands farther north in the park are transitional islands of coral and sand. The offshore portion of the park includes the northernmost region of the Florida Reef, one of the largest coral reefs in the world.
Biscayne National Park protects four distinct ecosystems: the shoreline mangrove swamp, the shallow waters of Biscayne Bay, the coral limestone keys and the offshore Florida Reef. The shoreline swamps of the mainland and island margins provide a nursery for larval and juvenile fish, molluscs and crustaceans. The bay waters harbor immature and adult fish, seagrass beds, sponges, soft corals, and manatees. The keys are covered with tropical vegetation including endangered cacti and palms, and their beaches provide nesting grounds for endangered sea turtles. Offshore reefs and waters harbor more than 200 species of fish, pelagic birds, whales and hard corals. Sixteen endangered species including Schaus' swallowtail butterflies, smalltooth sawfish, manatees, and green and hawksbill sea turtles may be observed in the park. Biscayne also has a small population of threatened American crocodiles and a few American alligators.
The people of the Glades culture inhabited the Biscayne Bay region as early as 10,000 years ago before rising sea levels filled the bay. The Tequesta people occupied the islands and shoreline from about 4,000 years before the present to the 16th century, when the Spanish took possession of Florida. Reefs claimed ships from Spanish times through the 20th century, with more than 40 documented wrecks within the park's boundaries. While the park's islands were farmed during the 19th and early 20th centuries, their rocky soil and periodic hurricanes made agriculture difficult to sustain. In the early 20th century the islands became secluded destinations for wealthy Miamians who built getaway homes and social clubs. Mark C. Honeywell's guesthouse on Boca Chita Key was the area's most elaborate private retreat, featuring a mock lighthouse. The Cocolobo Cay Club was at various times owned by Miami developer Carl G. Fisher, yachtsman Garfield Wood, and President Richard Nixon's friend Bebe Rebozo, and was visited by four United States presidents. The amphibious community of Stiltsville was established in the 1930s in the shoals of northern Biscayne Bay, taking advantage of its remoteness from land to offer offshore gambling and alcohol during Prohibition. Following the Cuban Revolution of 1959, Elliott Key was used as a training ground for infiltrators into Fidel Castro's Cuba by the Central Intelligence Agency and by Cuban exile groups.
Originally proposed for inclusion in Everglades National Park, Biscayne Bay was removed from the proposed park to ensure Everglades' establishment. The area remained undeveloped until the 1960 ...

Ки-Уэст. Орёл и Решка. Морской сезон/По морям-2 (Russian, English subtitles)
Это финальный выпуск сезона Орёл и Решка. Морской сезон/По морям-2 (Heads and Tails. The Sea Season).
