Southport is well known as the fashionable shopping centre of the north
busy tree lined street full of cars and trams. A woman crosses the road. The busy pavement packed with fashionable shoppers in smart coats and hats. The exterior of an electrical shop 'Lifes for radio' the shop also has its delivery van parked outside with Life for Radio painted on the side. Another high level view of the radiogram shop on the corner of the busy street, people stand and look in the window display with all kinds of radios. Street scene of Southport. Across a square. An obelisk in a square, probably a war memorial as it has poppy wreaths at the base. A policeman directs traffic on a wide street in Southport.
A parade of people in fancy dress. Followed by highly decorated floats of all kinds
A boating lake. Children in pedalo boats turned with the hands. A crowd sits and listens to the band play in a circular park bandstand. The conductor conducts.
Lord Street. One of the finest Thoroughfares in Europe, 72 yards wide and one mile long a repeat of the above shot with many cars and a policeman directing the traffic. Three shots of the street.

An excellent bus service. Connects Southport with its residential districts the back of a bus with Noodville on the back, it leaves the depot.
One of the Healthiest of these being Ainsdale street on the front of a bus. A view of the sea and sandy beach.

A small group of women in ball gowns watch who arrives, some are in fur coats. A man and woman in evening clothes stand up to greet a couple who arrive, one woman curtsies to the other and gives her flowers, they all sit down at a small table in the hotel lobby.
Introducing Jack Hunter and his merry men man in pencil mustache sings into a microphone then turns to conduct the band. The band play in front of an ornate double staircase. The large crowds of dancers, foxtrot around the floor. A pann across a crowd of happy party goers dressed in smart evening gowns and dress suits, with small tables of flowers in front of them, they laugh together, good high society ball.
We are surprised at the number of old boys who are called to bar really good shot of the crowd of men and women at a cocktail bar with drinks and soda siphons in front of them, a bar tender at the side, his side of the bar has many bottles of drinks for making cocktails and pouring drinks.
The high spot of the evening with cabaret by Peggy Sutton supported by Pat Lennox and Vivian ( from the Argyle Theatre Birkenhead) Four girls tap dance in front of the band. A man and woman are singing. A man and woman do an exhibition dance. Couples dance on the dance floor holding each other close.
But all good things come to an end couple doing probably the Hokey Cokey, Auld Lange Singe or similar dance. Its is success its Southport college Old boys dance.

Took me three months to figure out how to edit it down, but I got there in the end!
Cosplay contests are the hardest things to edit- this was a pain! I've also begun experimenting with different editing techniques, so it's kept me on my toes.
