A classic blue sky day here in Dunedin, New Zealand. Filmed on Tuesday the 25th of June 2019 in the middle of what has been a surprisingly lovely winter. We thought we would see if any surfers are brave enough to catch a wave or two? We found one hearty soul! Conditions looked blustery out there. Word on the street is surfing conditions will be better in a few days. Most of the shots in the video are filmed at St Clair Beach and the esplanade, as the sun started to set, the views toward the end of the video are from St Kilda Beach and up toward John Wilson Ocean drive and Lawyers Head.

Fri 6 May 2016. Footage of surfing taken from a vantage point on the hill overlooking the surf. Surf was not incredibly good, but was above average. Water is fairly cold this time of year so thick suits and hoods + gloves essential.
Filmed on my new camcorder, the incredible Canon Vixia. *Footage can be a bit fuzzy at times because most of it was filmed at very low light as the sun was setting.

Only ten minutes from Dunedin's city center is St Clair Beach. It's well known as one of the best city surf spots in New Zealand.
If you ask a local there are plenty of secret spots along the pristine white sand coast. There are over 40 breaks within an hour of the city.

As someone from the Caribbean, I am certainly not unaccustomed to beaches. Why St. Clair was so fascinating is because the waves were just so large - unlike anything I've ever seen. It was a very cold morning but very beautiful.

Went for a quick fly while the kids played at the park got some good footage but props were visible,i didnt have a hood on my controller so i couldnt see beacause of the glare,its a problem,i now have a hood for shade.
it works good i noticed in nz alot of glare on the screen its annoying as you cant see clear enough.
