Hughenden Manor is a red brick Victorian mansion, located near High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England. In the 19th century, it was the country house of the Prime Minister, Benjamin Disraeli, 1st Earl of Beaconsfield. Today, it is owned by the National Trust and fully open to the public. It sits on the brow of the hill to the west of the main A4128 road that links Hughenden to High Wycombe.
The manor of Hughenden is first recorded in 1086, when formerly part of Queen Edith's lands it was held by William, son of Oger the Bishop of Bayeux, and was assessed for tax at 10 hides. After his forfeiture, the lands were held by the Crown, until King Henry I of England gave the lands to his chamberlain and treasurer, Geoffrey de Clinton.Clinton, whose main home was in Kenilworth, Warwickshire, had the lands tenanted by Geoffrey de Sancto Roerio, who resultantly changed his surname to the Anglicised Hughenden.After passing through that family, with successive Kings having to confirm the gift of the lands, the manor returned to the Crown in the 14th century. In 1539, the Crown granted the manor and lands to Sir Robert Dormer, and it passed through his family until 1737, when it was sold by Philip Stanhope, 4th Earl of Chesterfield to Charles Savage.
After passing through his extended family following a series of deaths, resultant will bequeaths, by 1816 the manor, lands were owned by John Norris, a distinguished antiquary,scholar. Isaac D'Israeli, the father of Benjamin Disraeli, British Prime Minister (1868 and 1874–1880,Earl of Beaconsfield 1876), had for some time rented the nearby Bradenham Manor,on Norris's death in 1845 bought the manor and lands from his executors in 1847,with the help of a loan of £25,000 (equivalent to almost £1,500,000 today) from Lord Henry Bentinck and Lord Titchfield. This was because at the time, as Disraeli was leader of the Conservative Party it was essential to represent a county, and county members had to be landowners.Taking ownership of the manor on the death of his father in 1848, Disraeli and his wife Mary Anne, alternated between Hughenden and several homes in London.
The present house was built towards the end of the 18th century and was of a stuccoed and unassuming design. However, in 1862 the Disraelis had the house remodelled by the architect Edward Buckton Lamb. Lamb has been described as one of the most perverse and original of mid-Victorian architects.Architecturally, he had a strong interest in the eclectic; this interest is very apparent in his work at Hughenden.

Under Lamb's hand, classical Georgian features were swept away as he dramatised the house.Lamb worked in a hybrid baronial form of Gothic architecture, with exposed and angular juxtaposing brickwork surmounted by stepped battlements with diagonal pinnacles. The uppermost windows of the thirteen bayed garden facade were given unusual pediments – appearing almost as machicolations. The architectural historian Nikolaus Pevsner, in his highly critical appraisal of Lamb's work at Hughenden, labels these window-heads as indescribable and Lamb's overall Hughenden work as excruciating.
Pevsner clearly failed to appreciate what the delighted Disraeli described as the romance he had been many years realising while going to say that he imagined it was now restored to what it was before the civil war,As the house was not originally constructed until the middle of the 18th century, almost a century after the Civil War, that scenario would have been difficult.
The house is of three floors. The reception rooms are all on the ground floor, most with large plate glass windows (a Victorian innovation) giving onto the south-facing terrace overlooking a grassy parterre with views over the Hughenden Valley.
The west wing was built in 1910, long after Disraeli's death, when the house was in the ownership of his nephew, the politician Coningsby Disraeli.
Lady Beaconsfield died in 1872, Disraeli in 1881; both were buried in a vault adjacent in the churchyard of St Michael and All Angels Church which is situated downhill from the main house, to the east. The church contains a memorial to the Earl erected by Queen Victoria: the only instance a reigning monarch has ever erected a memorial to a subject. Disraeli had no children; he left Hughenden to his nephew, Coningsby Disraeli. However, as Coningsby was only 14 at the time, his trustees rented out the property until he came into his inheritance in 1888. When Coningsby died in 1936, his widow left Hughenden, and the following year Disraeli's niece sold the house to W H Abbey, who vested it, with the remaining contents and 189 acres (0.76 km2), in the Disraelian Society.

The competition ran from Sunday, June 2 until Sunday 9 June.
Judges marked the scarecrows on the following two criteria:
Overall impact – does this Scarecrow make you stop, laugh, smile, think or talk about it? Can you easily identify who/what it is meant to represent?
Execution – how well has this Scarecrow been thought through and assembled? Will it stay in good condition all week? How much skill and attention has been given to all the details?

Four heavenly angels. One, representing the archangel Michael carries a sword and is depicted slaying the Devil. Permission has been granted to showcase them by the entrance to the church. We hope everyone agrees that they are respectful angelic sculptures highlighting the protection our angels give us.

We felt the old Galleywood racecourse needed its very own scarecrow on horseback.
The rider is Admiral Rous ( was the senior steward of the Jockey Club in the 1860s) on champion horse ‘Golden Miller’ (1931)

Ledbury is a Herefordshire market town, lying east of Hereford, and west of the Malvern Hills. Ledbury has a significant number of timber-framed structures, in particular along Church Lane and High Street. One of the most outstanding is the Market House, built in 1617, located in the town centre.
Other notable buildings with in Ledbury include the parish church of St. Michael and All Angels, the Painted Room (containing sixteenth-century frescoes), the Old Grammar School, the Barrett-Browning memorial clock tower (designed by Brightwen Binyon and opened in 1896 to house the library until 2015), nearby Eastnor Castle and the St. Katherine's Hospital site.
Ledbury was home to poet Elizabeth Barrett Browning, who spent her childhood at Hope End. It is also the birthplace of poet laureate John Masefield, after whom the local secondary school is named. William Wordsworth's sonnet St. Catherine of Ledbury, dated 1835, begins When ... Ledbury bells broke forth in concert.
The Herefordshire and Gloucestershire Canal, which opened from Gloucester as far as here in 1798, passed through the lower part of the town with wharves at Bye Street and at what is now the Ross Road near the Full Pitcher public house. After closing in 1885, part of the Ledbury-to-Gloucester section of the canal was used by the Great Western Railway for the Ledbury and Gloucester Railway. The original line of the canal northwards towards Hereford can still be seen, where it went underneath the Ledbury-to-Hereford railway. When the Gloucester railway closed in 1964 as a result of the Beeching cuts it became overgrown, but the route through Ledbury then was used as a footpath.
The main roads through the town are the A449 and the A417, and the M50 motorway runs to the south. Ledbury railway station is near the western end of the Cotswold Line and offers direct services to Hereford, Worcester, Birmingham, Oxford and London Paddington.

The Presiding Bishop and Primate of the Episcopal Church Michael Curry has released a video for World Refugee Day 2017, calling for prayer and action.
He said, “In the name of Mary, Joseph and the Lord Jesus, aid all refugees today, for most of the refugees like the Holy Family themselves, are families, and most are children.”
Presence (Percy Whitlock) - First Church of Christ Scientist, Bournemouth (Compton organ)
Another of me playing the magnificent 3 manual Compton organ installed at First Church of Christ Scientist in Bournemouth.
I am only an amateur and by no means a pro so wanted to point this out and hope you are still able to get the jist of the amazing skills of the John Compton Organ Company Ltd.
Percy Whitlock, a name synonymous with Bournemouth, was a composer of beautiful post-romantic organ works. He was also the Bournemouth borough organist and appeared regularly at the nearby Pavilion Theatre playing the magnificent 4 manual Compton which is still there and played regularly for concerts. Whitlock also composed several hymn tunes including this one 'Presence' which is the tune used for the hymn 'O gentle presence, peace and joy and power'. I am playing this from the Christian Science hymnal and is an ideal hymn for demonstrating the quiet sounds on the organ as well as the beautiful Clarinet.
Sadly the church building is currently up for sale and the future of the organ remains uncertain.

Fingerstyle Guitar Player Camille Nelson is a classically trained multi-instrumentalist. Her music is fun and fresh, offering feel-good beats and moving melodies that any audience can easily relate to. Her pop/rock/folk style, which was influenced by artists including U2 and Alanis Morissette, evolved to her current style of percussive guitar elements integrated with violin and ethereal vocals, which has marked her as a fingerstyle guitar player. Camille’s first album, First Words, was released in 2009 and was engineered and produced by Nashville producer, Giles Reaves, for the independent label Dimmi Records. Reaves is currently working with Camille recording her fingerstyle work. Much of Camille’s music relates to her extensive world travel. She speaks German and Italian and has been to over 60 countries—gaining multicultural experiences that have strongly influenced her song-writing. She has lived around the world during and after earning her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Utah and a doctorate degree from Gonzaga University. She is now a college professor teaching MBA courses in management, communication, and leadership.
Camille Nelson has worked with various fingerstyle guitar players including Andy Mckee, Billy McLaughlin, Antoine Dufour, Stephen Bennett, and Kaki King. She was deeply inspired by works by Michael Hedges and in particular, Andy Mckee's Drifting and Kaki King’s “Playing with Pink Noise,” whose pieces both feature percussive elements that Camille also integrates into her compositions. She also incorporates and layers violin and vocal tracks into her songs.. As Camille Nelson's guitar teacher, Kaki King helped Camille develop and master her guitar skills while encouraging Camille to continue working on more original compositions establishing her as a fingerstyle guitar player. Camille Nelson has performed all around the United States and various parts of the world. She completed a tour around Ireland where she performed in several venues displaying her fingerstyle guitar work and original compositions. She has also performed in a variety of venues around Europe where she has earned praise as a fingerstyle guitar player and pop/rock singer.
Camille Nelson is also a well-rounded athlete that has earned praise as a competitive runner and triathlete having run over 15 marathons, including the Boston Marathon, Great Wall Marathon, and the Antarctica Marathon. Born and raised in Salt Lake, Camille is the youngest of six similarly musical children. She was strongly influenced by her father, a violist, and her mother, a professional opera singer. Camille continues to make music while she teaches to help further her goal of motivating and touching people. With Camille's work in music as well as in academia, Camille's dream is to use her Ph.D in communication and her music skills to impact people through her creativity and music as she has been deeply impacted by the music and people that have had a profound impact on her life.

A Mother who adopted her children once said to them,
I did’t give you the gift of life but life gave me the gift of you
I am sure are you all remember the story of Moses in the Old Testament. He was adopted by the Pharaoh’s daughter and he eventually went on to deliver the Israelites from the land of Egypt. It seems like sometimes God brings certain children and certain parents together for a specific purpose and mission. Even though there are not biological connected, they are divinely bonded.
In a sense all of us are adopted sons and daughters of the Abba Father.
St Paul says
Romans 8:14-15
For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. 15 For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”
There are many couples who are infertile and there are many children who are orphans. What if every couple decides to adopt these children.
St Mother Theresa once said,
Do you want to do something beautiful for God? There is a person who needs you. This is your chance.
Nevertheless, its not easy for couples to take the route of adoption because of certain fears and challenges. Even though adoption can make them parents, it can never erase the pain of infertility.
So what is the right perspective ? How do we discern ? How can we overcome the fears?
What is the first step ?
To seek answers for all these difficult questions, I was providentially lead Maria Malone from the united states of America.
She along with her husband have 3 wonderful adopted children.Maria is also the Co founder of Adoption is a loving option and advocates the need for adoption in our world of selfishness.

Sir Edward Coley Burne-Jones, 1st Baronet ARA (28 August 1833 –; 17 June 1898) was a British artist and designer closely associated with the later phase of the Pre-Raphaelite movement, who worked closely with William Morris on a wide range of decorative arts as a founding partner in Morris, Marshall, Faulkner & Co. Burne-Jones was closely involved in the rejuvenation of the tradition of stained glass art in Britain; his stained glass works include the windows of St. Philip's Cathedral, Birmingham, St Martin in the Bull Ring, Birmingham, Holy Trinity Church, Sloane Square, Chelsea, St Martin's Church in Brampton, Cumbria (the church designed by Philip Webb), St Michael's Church, Brighton, All Saints, Jesus Lane, Cambridge, Christ Church, Oxford and in St. Anne's Church, Brown Edge, Staffordshire Moorlands. Burne-Jones's early paintings show the heavy inspiration of Dante Gabriel Rossetti, but by the 1860s Burne-Jones was discovering his own artistic voice. In 1877, he was persuaded to show eight oil paintings at the Grosvenor Gallery (a new rival to the Royal Academy). These included The Beguiling of Merlin. The timing was right, and he was taken up as a herald and star of the new Aesthetic Movement.
In addition to painting and stained glass, Burne-Jones worked in a variety of crafts; including designing ceramic tiles, jewellery, tapestries, mosaics and book illustration, most famously designing woodcuts for the Kelmscott Press's Chaucer in 1896.
