Phil Martin (Drohne) playing The Hooden Horse at St Nicholas-at-Wade church
The late, great, Phil Martin of Drohne singing and playing his hurdy-gurdy in a concert at St Nicholas-at-Wade church (the video sadly cuts out before the end). The music is originally a Breton tune, but the words are Phil's own, about the unique East Kent custom of Hoodening (see hoodening.org.uk).
There is an interesting spoken introduction, but if you want to cut straight to the music, that is from around 1m50s. The full tune can be heard on Phil's MySpace site:

St. Nicholas Parish Church Fire
In the early hours of Sunday 16th March 2008 (the week before Easter), the partially-medieval church of St. Nicholas, the parish church of Radford Semele in Warwickshire, England, was devastated by fire. A restoration fund has been established and donations can be made to Rev Martin Green. Please give generously, send me a message to make a donation.
