St Peter's Church in Marefair, Northampton was commissioned by Simon de Senlis, First Earl of Northampton around 1170 on the site of a former Saxon Church.The site is at the centre of what was believed to be Hamtune the original settlement of Northampton. This short aerial video shot for The Friends of St Peter's shows the exterior of the church in all its glory including the arched Kings entrance used bu Kings when residing in the nearby (now demolished) Northampton Castle.

The Church dates back to Saxon times so has a long history. A little research will find you loads of info.
From the top you are around 90 Feet above the base though the Church is located in one of the lowest part of the town.
As you can see there are some interesting views to be seen. Also on a clear day you can see the towers of 7 other Churches though today only 5 were clearly visible.
I've left the natural sound as you can hear the guide explaining some of the above.
The large cleared area you see is where Express Works used to be which is featured in another video after a local set it ablaze .

England Chronicles - St. Peter's Benefit Concert
The UT Chamber Singers performed a benefit concert at St. Peter's Anglican Church in Canterbury. The church is still repairing damage sustained from Nazi bombers during WWII.
