a beautiful coastal walk while on my holls in Cornwall unfortunately my battery ran out so I couldn’t film the eastern side of the Peninsula. but I managed to get some footage looking across to St Mawes and Falmouth so I hope you enjoy Glenn

Scenery includes: cliff-walking on the South West Coast Path with fabulous coastal views of sloping green fields, bays, sandy beaches and rocky cliffs; St Anthony Head and its lighthouse; an enjoyable section alongside the wide mouth of the estuary which gives unique views of St Mawes and its river; and a sheltered passage beside a tree-fringed creek; the lovely church of St Anthony-in-Roseland and Place House. You will also see coastal dwellings, many sailing boats.

St Anthony Head Walk was about 5.5 miles in distance. The terrain of the route was a combination of coastal, field and woodland twisting paths; plus some short sections of tarmac path, track and road. The walking was mostly easy undulating ground with one short steep descent. Route finding was mostly easy with obvious paths, good waymarking and god landmarks. There were 2 stiles to negotiate.

Anything to keep us out! Memories of St.Mawes Castle
In this short film, a small group of people local to St.Mawes on the Roseland, explore St.Mawes castle, sharing their memories of the coastal fortress. Stories include childhood games and antics, working in the castle, local scandals, and fates in the grounds.

St Mawes and St Anthony, Cornwall
Took the FalRiver ferries from Falmouth across the estuary to St Mawes and on to St Anthony in beautiful weather on Saturday 12th August 2017. All the clips are in the order of being filmed on the day showing our journey on the ferries to St Anthony via St Mawes harbour; our walk round St Anthony head; return ferry to St Mawes; walk round the beaches of St Mawes; and our return ferry to Falmouth.

On a flying visit to Cornwall I got a chance to fly my Drone at Portscatho, St Mawes, Trewithian Farm and St Anthony Head. The weather could have been a little better for drone flying, but the results are not too bad and I had the chance to pay my respects to an old friend and visit a few more others.

Fortress Falmouth Pt 3 St Mawes
Falmouth, the world's third deepest natural harbour, is on the south coast of Cornwall, UK. Because of its strategic importance it was upgraded to a Category A port at the outbreak of World War Two. This series of Fortress Falmouth videos look at the defences in and around Falmouth and sees what remains of them today.
Part Three focuses on St Mawes where the army reoccupied the old castle and set up anti motor torpedo boat defences with searchlights and barrage balloons.

A weekend at the lovely village of St Mawes in Cornwall on the Roseland Peninsula, staying with at the luxurious Stargazers. We enjoyed watching the ferry go by, wandering around the village and walks to St Just and St Anthony's Lighthouse.
