Day Trip to St. Martins, New Brunswick, Canada: Visiting the Sea Caves + Fundy Trail Parkway
Come join us for a day trip to St. Martins, New Brunswick, Canada to visit the impressive sea caves and hike around Fundy Trail Parkway. Thanks to an invitation from our good family friends Joan and Garry, we had the opportunity to explore more of New Brunswick visiting some real hidden gems. The drive to Saint Martin's from Fredericton was incredibly scenic as we drove through serpentine forest roads.
Upon arriving in St Martin's we couldn't help but notice how lively it was given that there was a special home coming week taking place with about half of the local residents having big garage sales.
Our first stop was at an old grocery shop dating back to 1889 which also featured interesting souvenirs. We then headed out to visit the famous St Martin's Caves! To say they were impressive is an understatement. Visiting at various different times of the day ensures an entirely different experience depending on the tide. At certain times you can visit the caves by kayak.
From there we entered into Fundy Trail Parkway where we paid and entrance fee and drove down to Long Beach to walk along the beach and then have a delicious lunch buffet prepared by our hosts Garry and Joan.
We then continued into the park visiting the Interpretive Center, walking across a suspension bridge and going for a hike before visiting Fuller Falls.
Afterwards with seafood chowder and ice cream on our mind we headed back to St. Martin's where we first checked out some covered bridges before grabbing some delicious food.
We finished things off by visiting Red Rock before driving back to Fredericton. What an incredible day-trip in New Brunswick! Thanks again to our friends Joan and Garry for making it possible and if you have a chance to visit New Brunswick be sure to check it out as it is one of the more underrated provinces in Canada for tourism.

St Martins and the Sea Caves, New Brunswick
St. Martins is a Canadian village in Saint John County, New Brunswick. The picturesque community is 40 km east of Saint John and is situated on the Bay of Fundy.
The Village's premier attraction is the St. Martins sea caves. Walkers and hikers consult the tidal charts to find the best time to walk the ocean floor out to sea caves, caverns and arches. The tide rises, soon erasing their footsteps, filling the caves and caverns with water. The tide rises and falls every 6 hours and 13 minutes , creating new times for high and low tides every day.

Saint Martin's Sea Caves - NB
This is a beautiful stop to adventure as a family. I have been going here since I was little and still do to this day. This beautiful beach features multiple sea caves that are accessible only at low tide. There are also a few restaurants around as well. There is a take-out restaurant right along the beach, where you can bring your food onto the patio to enjoy the views of the caves, or you can be seated inside. The other restaurant is famous for it's seafood chowder. It's cozy inside, or you can sit on the deck as well. There is also a food truck across the street as well!
The walking trail is at the top of the road (to the right - You'll see the gate) It takes about 20 minutes or so to complete, depending how long you want to spend there. The views are absolutely perfect for any ocean lovers out there!

This place is out of this world!!
The tide rise, filling the caves with water and when tide is high, it can be up to 38 feet on the saint martins shores.
The amount of water that flows in and out of the Bay of Fundy in a day is equal to all of the water pumped into all of the oceans by all of the rivers of the earth. IMAGINE!!
Now that's a lot of water in only 6 hrs 13 min :P
I don't know what happened at the end, I did that flip and got all disoriented, and crashed onto a big rock. The gopro mount, along with the gopro itself flew away from the quad. I presume the lipo must had hit a rock as well, cause it was in pretty rough shape loll
End up with a smashed lipo, a broken arm, a dented motor bell, and one of the XSR antenna was cut :P
Good thing I had my backup quad, so my FPV road trip could continue :D

The Sea Caves in St Martin Canada
St. Martins is a place of tidal wonder at the heart of the Bay of Fundy. Life here is governed by the rhythm of the world's highest tides. A colourful fleet of fishing boats wait in the Bay for the high tide to rise and fill the empty harbour with water so that they can unload their catch.
Walkers and hikers consult the tidal charts to find the best time to walk the ocean floor out to sea caves, caverns and arches. St-Martins Sea Caves was a great family adventure on our 32 day road trip.
If you plan to check out this spot and you should, you can camp at Century Farm Family Campground. Its a walk away but we drove to it 3 times. Twice low tide and once high tide.
Even at low tide we had to cross a small stream, bring good sandals or crocks.
The kids had a blast looking for hermit crabs and sea shells.
