The Bow Bells: Bell Ringing at St Mary-le-Bow, London
The 4th tower on the day of the RWNYC 2018 and a *HUGE* tick off my bucket list: the world famous Bow Bells...!
Where to start about these bells! St Mary-le-Bow are a 41-3-23cwt (2131kg) ring of twelve gorgeous bells cast in 1956 by Mears and Stainbank. Punchy, crisp and very audible in the ringing chamber, these bells are amazing. They go well but are a tad unpredictable due to tower movement.
1:03 for the tenor being rung from outside.
1:18 for me turning the tenor over inside. Note how the room goes silent as that bell is rung!

Now, I've been to a few places, but London in the Spring/Summer takes some beating and in terms of world famous locations it's got more within walking distance of each other than any other place I know. If you can afford a visit, do not miss this place, it is banging!
The next few episodes, I hope will convey some of the spirit of London, they might be a little bit out of date now, but the vibes remain the same.
(FYI, I'm uploading this well before the general election in June so depending on what type of government we are left with after that will affect the relevance of some of my comments but be assured, sooner or later the needle will return to the start of the song, and we will all sing along like before.)
