Chimney Rock Winery - Stags Leap District, Napa Valley
Chimney Rock Winery is located on the Silverado Trail in the Stags Leap District of California's Napa Valley. This Cape Dutch-inspired estate winery produces premium Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Bordeaux Blends. Check out my review with pictures at:
Silverado Vineyards - Stags Leap, Napa Valley
In the heart of Napa Valley's Stags Leap District sits a rocky peak with a spectacular Mediterranean-style stone winery perched on top. That winery is the iconic Silverado Vineyards, named after the abandoned mining town at the north end of the Napa Valley. Silverado Vineyards is best known for its Cabernet Sauvignon, but Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and small batches of Zinfandel and Sangiovese are also grown on their six estate vineyards. To see my review of Silverado Vineyards and pictures check out California Wine Tasting Adventures:

Napa & Sonoma Wine Country, California, USA - Drone
Napa & Sonoma Wine Country: Castello Di Amorosa, Ledson, Peju Province, Artesa, Sterling, Far Niente, Darioush, Clos Pegase, Robert Mondavi, Opus One, Domaine Carneros, Quixote, Ferrari-Carano, Del Dotto Estate, Chateau Montelena, Bale Grist Mill & Beringer
The Napa & Sonoma Valley is one of the most scenic and beautiful wine country to visit in Northern California. October is a perfect month because the fall colors turns to red & gold which showcases a more dramatic hills & valleys of the vineyards. Because Napa is very close to where we live, my wife and I often spend our weekends there because of its beauty and great places to eat. When I got my first drone, it is here where I practiced aerial videos and revisited the same places where we had gone before for photography. To this day, we are still discovering new wineries and restaurants.
There are over 430 Wineries in Napa Valley and over 380 wineries in Sonoma Valley. An astounding 95% of Napa Valley wineries are family-owned. It was The Paris Wine Tasting of 1976, known as the Judgment of Paris event which placed Napa Valley on the map worldwide. This blind, comparative tasting pitted Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay from California against the best wines of Bordeaux and Burgundy in a blind tasting. When the tasting was done, the judges had given top honors to Chateau Montelena Chardonnay and Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon. Napa Valley would never be the same and transformed Napa Valley into one of the premiere wine regions in the world.
Charles Krug is credited with establishing Napa Valley's first commercial winery in 1861: including Schramsberg (founded in 1862), Beringer (1876) and Inglenook (1879).
Aside for its wines (especially Cabernet Sauvignon wines), Napa Valley is also renowned for its fine and diverse cuisine. In fact, the region’s 100-plus restaurants have won more Michelin stars per capita than any other wine country in the world. Among the popular Michelin-starred restaurants include La Toque, The Restaurant at Auberge and The French Laundry.
Besides its arts & culture, you can go around the valley by biking or hiking, sip beer and spirits, see the Old Faithful geyser in Napa city of Calistoga, attend museums and music festivals, go shopping, and ride a hot-air balloon at sunrise.

Cabernet Sauvignon in Napa Valley | Mario Bazán Cellars
888 282-1353 The story of persistence in seeking the American Dream never gets old. And here’s another inspiration in Mario Bazán Cellars. Cellar Angels interviews Mario Bazán, who came to the Napa Valley from Oaxaca, Mexico over four decades ago and decided to focus his life’s work in the vineyards. Mario strengthened his skills in the vineyards while working for many prestigious wineries, including Joseph Phelps, Robert Mondavi, Opus One and Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars.
With a depth of experience under his belt, he decided to fulfill his entrepreneurial dream and launched Mario Bazán Vineyard Management Company in 1997. He and his wife Gloria launched Mario Bazán Cellars in 2005.

Napa Valley Tour | Robert Mandavi Winery Tour | Nepali BrewBoy Channel
Your Passport to Adventure Life !!!ððð
This review is very overdue, as I did a tour at RM back in Summer 2009. Anyways, I remember the experience like it was yesterday. My group and I did the Exclusive Cellar Tasting ($55/pp), which is small private group tour which includes tasting of reserve wines in one of their private glass rooms in the cellar with a small charcuterie/cheese pairing. Reservations and payment in advance is required for this tasting/tour.
Our guide was just aces, he knew exactly what thirsty visitors from the East Coast wanted. While he gave us a lot of great background and history about the Mondavi family, vineyard and wines, he definitely made sure we had our glasses were full once we got to the tasting room - even if that meant opening an extra bottle of the good stuff. Speaking of which, the Exclusive wine tour includes several wines you ordinarily wouldn't taste in restaurants or sample on other RM tours. The cheese and cured meat was also good, but of course the wine was the star.
I think I got a little ahead of myself here, but I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the beauty of the property itself, and the extremely impressive cellar room with hundreds of fermenting barrels. The iconic arch you see on each label of Mondavi wine is the same arch you walk through to enter the property - pretty nostalgic for me at least.
All in all, I would imagine all the Robert Mondavi wine tours are stellar, but I can speak from experience that the Exclusive Cellar Tasting is well worth the money. If you can, ask for Janie as your guide. Hope to be back sometime soon!

Napa Valley's Brasswood Estate: Wine, Food, Art & Lifestyle
888 282-1353
Napa Valley is world-renowned for having some of the finest destinations for wine, food and art. But until now, none of it was in one location. Meet Brasswood Estate.
General Manager Marcus Marquez shares with us the lifestyle destination that is Brasswood. The Estate was created through passion and represents a true destination spot where you can relax and take “the St. Helena lifestyle seriously”.
The 57-acre property in St. Helena, centered around many legendary winemakers, is designed in a fashion where you can start your day there – grab something from the bakery, then stay for the artwork, impeccable grounds, meal at the restaurant and sensory wine education.
Winemaking is led by Stacia Williams, with consulting winemaker and neighbor, Angelina Mondavi on board. Making wine since she was 10 years old, Angelina is a perfect compliment to Stacia’s style. She also makes wine on the property with her two direct to consumer brands, Dark Matter and Aloft.
Brasswood also has impressive portfolio clients, as they are one of the most state of the art wineries in Napa Valley right now, including 17,000 square feet of caves and a living roof that helps control the energy to create an environment for high quality wines. Others making wine at the facility include Phillipe Melka, Russell Bevan and Timothy Milos.
From start to finish, nothing has been overlooked at Brasswood. The attention to detail is off the charts, and from a lifestyle destination location, there’s nothing like it in Napa Valley. Fine wine, exceptional dining, amazing artwork and gorgeous grounds that you have to experience! Learn more:
