Bling was a white knuckle thrill ride located within Pleasure Beach Blackpool in Lancashire, North West England.It's now in Germany's Skyline Park called Sky Jet.
The Star Shape ride was built by German company Zierer in 2004 and is currently only one of three of this type in the world. Situated at the far end of the park adjacent to Burger King. It is the parks fourth tallest ride after the Pepsi Max Big One, Ice Blast and Opened June 1, 2004 Closed end of season 2011.

The Star Shape's name is derived from its gondola arms mounted in a star-shaped pattern with five seats each. These arms turn in circles at the upper end of a 30 meter long main mast. When the gondolas come at 30 meters height to a halt, the stars seem to be within one's grasp. From up here, passengers are able to have a birds eye view of the entire park and the surrounding landscape. But this moment of repose is only short-lived. As soon as the gondola cross has rotated its full cycle at this dizzying height, the main mast nosedives while rotating around its own axis.
Yet there is more to come. The single gondola arms also turn at an angle of 360 degrees while three different rotational movements spin the passengers around with their legs dangling freely. Riders will experience a great high from this enormous adrenaline rush.
A three times redundant safety restraint system returns your passengers safe and sound to home position. Their heads will still be spinning when they put their feet back on the ground. Simply watching makes you giddy and quickens your pulse.

I made a few short videos of the beach a few days ago... I thought I got some really cool video footage and pictures but sadly when I got home most of what I filmed was not on my memory card.. I'm not sure what happened, maybe the battery? (although the little recording light was on the whole time so I'm not sure) and there was plenty of room on the memory card.
So I only ended up with enough stuff for one short video... so here it is..
This channel is mainly dedicated to videos of my hometown, Blackpool, Lancashire, England.
Blackpool is a beautiful seaside town on the north west coast of England.
We have many cool attractions here including our world famous Blackpool Tower, the Pleasure Beach, three piers and a lovely sandy beach..
Blackpool is a relatively poor town that gets (unfairly in my opinion), a lot of bad press..
The aim of my channel is to show Blackpool in a better light..
No town or city is perfect so it's best to appreciate the good parts wherever you live :)

We decided to venture up to Blackpool and visit Madame Tussaud's Blackpool. Madame Tussauds Blackpool is a wax museum located in Blackpool, United Kingdom. The attraction opened in 2011, replacing the previous Louis Tussauds waxworks. It features over 80 wax figures of famous celebrities, film and television characters, athletes and musicians.

The bright lights of Blackpool shine out of the darkness in this dazzling display of seaside kitsch filmed for the Topical Budget newsreel. Running for 66 days from late August, the off-season Illuminations cannily kept the punters coming, along with the newsreel cameras. The film features two illuminated tram cars, one in the guise of a gondola and the other as a lifeboat - star attractions of the 1930s Illuminations. The 'gondola' was finally decommissioned in 1962. Also seen are some of the earliest 'animated' light tableaux, along with a giant Mickey Mouse.
