Statfold Barn Farm, located close to Tamworth in Staffordshire, is the home to the Statfold Barn Railway which, under the guidance of owners Graham & Carol Lee over the last fifteen years, has grown to become what must be the most significant collection of narrow gauge locomotives in the UK. With over 30 steam locomotives and many internal combustion locomotives, representing most British and several overseas manufacturers.
With the recent establishment of the Statfold Narrow Gauge Trust the future of this unique collection is ensured beyond the lifetime of its owners.
As well as our public open & enthusiast days, Statfold now also offer Driver Experience Days, educational tours & special events including Santa Express Trains, Halloween Steam & Scream and much more..!
The site has recently undergone further development and is proud to introduce the new gift shop, diner & the Statfold Roundhouse wedding, conference & events venue.

The Statfold Barn Railway is an extensive two-foot gauge private railway near Tamworth in Staffordshire, England. Which is home to the old Burton to Ashby Tram and one of the largest collections of narrow gauge historic steam, diesel and electric locomotives from the UK and overseas.

A visit to the Statfold Barn Railway, near Tamworth, England, on 4th June 2016. This railway is only open on 2 or 3 days a year, and tickets must be pre-booked, but its well worth a visit.
A longer video than the one I shot last year; that was a rather rushed visit, but this time I had all day.

Indonesian Steam Locos in England
Indonesian narrow gauge steam locos that have made it safely to England, away from being neglected by their owners and from the hands of the scrapmen.
This video was shot at the annual Statfold Barn Enthusiasts Day, which is normally held 3 times a year. This one was shot at Saturday, 11th March 2019 in Statfold Barn Railway Museum, Tamworth, Staffordshire, England. The video features 2 steam locos that once worked in the sugar cane plantations of Java, Indonesia.
The first part shows former Trangkil no.1, an 0-4-2T built by Hunslet Locomotive Works, Leeds, and the second part shows Sragi no.1, an 0-4-2T built by Krauss, Germany.
Other steam locos that were brought from Java that are not shown but present in the museum are :
- Pakis Baru no.1, an 0-4-0T, built by O&K
- Pakis Baru no.5, an 0-4-4-0T mallet steam, built by O&K
- Sragi no.14, an 0-6-0T built by O&K
- Jatibarang no.9, 0-4-4-0T mallet built by Jung, Germany
As for the Tjepper no.5, an 0-4-4-0T mallet built by Jung, it has been exported to Barbados.

What great day we had the Statfold Farm Railway,it started of with a few showers and then the sun came out.
Lot of locos to film and see in the Round house,the biggest thrill for us was to see the Hunslet King of the Scarlets as we have a 7 1/4 gauge model of this loco.Such a shame the she has been left to get in this state,please put this engine at the front of the queue for restoration.
We have had to split the film into two parts,this being part one.
I hope you enjoy my coverage of the Gala,it's not just about locos passing the camera there was lots of other things to film,I think this makes it more enjoyable to watch.
All the shots are taken hand held so sorry for the odd shake.
