The Regina Monologues - 2019
Divorced. Beheaded. Died. Divorced. Beheaded. Survived...
The wives of Henry VIII have been vilified, dehumanised, researched and written about since the earliest days that that particularly gargantuan monarch ruled in England over five hundred years ago!
Now Chalice Productions presents six modern women sharing their most intimate, hysterical and often heart-breaking stories and memories of the one man that they all have in common, delivered from the rooms in which they have all lived their very different lives.
The Regina Monologues is a fun, frantic and passion-fuelled contemporary take on a tale we all think we know so well. Giving voice to the women behind the well-told stories and iconic images, each monologue is told with passion, humility, grace and at times a devastatingly brutal honesty.
This is certainly a ‘Girls Night In” that you won’t want to miss!
So, why not join us for a fun-filled evening with the six sassy ladies (un)fortunate enough to have been married to the same memorable man! Henry.
The production will run for two nights only at Storyhouse, Chester. Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th September 2019.
The performances will begin at 20:00 on Saturday 14th and 18:00 on Sunday 15th with entry to the theatre space from 19:30.
Tickets are available from Storyhouse.com £10 (plus fees).
Due to the limited run and Chalice Productions' previous successes at Storyhouse and across the Northwest tickets are anticipated to be in high demand.
Book now to avoid disappointment. This performance may be unsuitable for anyone under the age of 15 years.

Chester Storyhouse Big Red Stairs
Was a bit taken aback on my return to the former odeon repurposed as Chester's cultural hub. Had to get some film of the big red stairs in full 360° surroundo-immerso-vision. Pop on some VR gogs and join me on a wander of wonder.
