6.5 mile beautiful walk around Stratford Upon Avon, water canal, horserace course, and river Avon.
Hello,
I can take you on a 6.5 mile walk around Stratford upon Avon.
You can do this beautiful walk in real life, or just view the photographs I took while walking along the route.
The walk starts at the Swan fountain at the Bancroft.
5. William Shakespeare's birthplace Narrowboat & Stratford-upon-Avon
I navigate down the Stratford-On-Avon canal to Stratford itself. With loads of history and the birthplace of William Shakespeare, it was packed with tourists. I moored in the basin in Stratford-Upon-Avon and I purchased an Avon Navigation Trust license to travel on the River Avon. The river was calm and very picturesque. Molly showed me some tricks and I travelled down to Evesham.

Stratford upon avon henley street Aug2014
What a street.1minute 55seconds until 2minutes 30seconds shows William Shakespeare's beautiful thatch roofed house. It's photograped everyday by tourists.A couple of doors down we see the Shakespeare centre.Hendley street also has a all year round Christmas shop.stratford is a picture postcard must see attraction. There's no graffiti,no vandalism. It's like going back 300years ago with everything being untouched. This place is untouchable in appearance and charisma.

Ghosts of Olde Stratford upon Avon : The Mercurie Hotel
A site survey of the haunted building.
Located on Chapel Street, Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire, England.
Built in 1637, just before the outbreak of The English Civil War, this building has nearly 400 years of history attached to it. Today it is a hotel for Stratford upon Avon's many tourists.
The building has at least two known hauntings :
Firstly, the Ghost of an Old Soldier, dressed in the style of a 17th Century warrior. He has been seen drifting around the upper corridors but does not seem to notice the living. His identity is unknown. But his clothes date him around the time the building was constructed.
Secondly, the Ghost of a young woman who reportedly commited suicide in the building after being attacked. The hauntings are said to be strongest in room 203. The historic period she dates from is unknown, as is her true identity. However over the years staff at the building have named her Lucy. She does interact with the living, including some of the guests, who find items moved of their own accord, and bedsheets thrown off sleeping residents. Though Lucy might be a mischievous Ghost, who just seems to want to attract the attention of the living, none of the reports from her recorded hauntings ever mention a sense of evil or malevolence. A playful Ghost, a bit cheeky, but by no means a Poltergeist. If you try to attract Lucy's attention as a guest of the hotel, you stand a good chance of experiencing a Paranormal episode - but one that should be easily survivable.
Not so the nearby haunting of The River Avon, just a few minutes walk away, by a much more malignant Ghost.

Stratford-upon-Avon Restaurants – A Local Guide by Premier Inn
Steve, from our Stratford-upon-Avon hotels, tells us about some of the most popular places to eat in town. Starting off with the restaurants on Sheep Street, if you’re looking for somewhere near the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, there’s Lambs, The Opposition, The Vintner, and Sorrentos. We round off our recommendations with No 9 Church Street, the extravagant Countess of Evesham, and 33 The Scullery – arguably the very best restaurant in Stratford-upon-Avon.
