Art After Dark at Kingston Glass
Art After Dark takes place twice a year, in May and September, with a focus on downtown Kingston galleries.
As the business day comes to a close and downtown Kingston streets glow with lighting from shop windows, restaurants, and street lights, visitors can visit a variety of galleries ranging from Princess and Barrie Streets all the way down to King Street. The event is an innovative way to promote the city’s artists while at the same time attract people to the downtown dining and drinking establishments.
Visit Kingston Glass Studio & Gallery for glass demonstrations and stunning artwork.

OBITUARY: NEVILLE A. TAYLOR, PHD, 1933 - 2015.
On February 6, 2015, Neville Taylor died two months after suffering a devastating stroke. His loving wife and soulmate of forty years, Rosemarie Schein Taylor, and his nephew Christopher Taylor were by his side. He leaves behind his stepdaughter Marina Schein and the members of the Taylor family: nephew Michael Taylor (wife Patricia) and their children Geoffrey and Carolyn; nephew Christopher Taylor (wife Ingrid Kessel-Taylor) and their children Norah and Zoe. He was predeceased by his brother Raymond (wife Joey). Since obtaining his Ph.D. from the University of Ottawa in 1975, Neville has worked full time in private practice as a clinical psychologist until his stroke. He was a founding member and past president of the Ottawa Academy of Psychology and a member of the Canadian, Ontario, and American Psychological Associations. He was a regular participant in the Ottawa Self Psychology Case Study Group. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, he came to Canada at the age of 9 to attend Ridley College in St. Catherines, Ontario. After graduation, in his twenties, he worked in Pakistan as an industrial radiographer on the construction of the Warsak dam on the Kabul River near Peshawar. In that city he first fell in love with flying small planes, taking lessons in an ancient Tigermoth plane. After leaving Pakistan, he travelled in India and spent time at an ashram in Tiruvannamalai. Once back in Canada, he continued flying lessons and obtained his private pilot license. In mid-life Neville became an avid cyclist. For more than twenty years, together with wife Rosemarie, he participated in many challenging cycling tours organized by the Ottawa Bicycle Club, including 23 Rideau Lakes Tours. He will be sorely missed by all who got to know and love him. A memorial celebration of his life is being held at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street (at O’Connor) on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 3pm. For those who wish, a donation may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
