JAPAN VLOG: Riding the Oldest Tram in Tokyo - Tokyo Sakura Tram (Toden Arakawa Line)
INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO RIDE THE TOKYO SAKURA TRAM:
If you’re interested in riding the Tokyo Sakura Tram, all you need to do is go to one of the tram platforms, and board through the front door. Once on, you can pay the 170 yen fare with an IC card like a Suica or a Pasmo, or with cash. In addition, the 700 yen Toei one day pass, which can be bought at machines in Toei subway stations or on the tram, works on the tram. If you just want unlimited rides on just the tram, you can buy a one day tram pass for 400 yen on the tram or at the Arakawa streetcar office. No “tapping out” is necessary when leaving the tram.

This is just a short vlog I filmed during my summer vacation away from the University of Oxford when I was working in Japan! The Tokyo Sakura Tram is a really cool way to get around Tokyo and I had a great time riding it this summer. Let me know in the comments if you're interested in seeing more vlogs/what kind of content would be cool!

TEMPURA at Hakata Tempura Takao - Fukuoka Vlog
First night in Fukuoka: Trying tempura at Hakata Tempura Takao, and the One Piece water & light show at Canal City in Fukuoka.
SUBSCRIBE for lots more Japan vlogs from Fukuoka, Osaka & Tokyo!
After 26 hours of travelling from the UK, we venture out to explore and grab something to eat before much-needed sleep! We took a look at Sumiyoshi Shrine, a small shrine near our hotel, then on to Canal City, a large shopping mall where they have light and fountain shows - including a One Piece anime show. Then we had tempura at Hakata Tempura Takao (branches in other parts of Japan too), which was much better than tempura I've had elsewhere!

除夜の鐘~カウントダウン 2012 Happy New Year!! at Shitennoji Temple in Osaka
Best Wishes For A Happy, Healthy And Peaceful New Year!!
I took this video in Shitenno-ji Temple in Osaka Japan. The ringing bells before the start of a new year is called Joyano kane in Japanese. In Buddhist beliefs, humans are born with 108 worldly desires which are removed when the bell is struck 108 times.
Brit in Japan - Sakura Sights in Kobe
Hey everyone!
It's a bit late, but he's a video showing what Kobe looked like in the height of the sakura. Sadly it only lasts a couple of days, but it's beautiful while it's there.
I got tricked by the sakura beer first time, thinking it was a new flavour...
I made the music by throwing some free samples together. I just finished an essay on hougaku (traditional Japanese performing arts) and wanted to investigate it hands-on.

An Afternoon Exploring Hankai Tramway, Osaka, Kansai
(Repost this video due to music copyright issue, I did some minor editing too)
I have been editing some old photos and videos during my previous trip and I would like to share with you a compiled video of our ride on the Hankai Tramway. The trams have this nostalgia feel to it, not something we have in Singapore, also to catch a glimpse of how it is like for the locals. It was an excellent experience. We used ICOCA card for the rides, find out more about payment and daypass on their Japanese website as they are not in the English page.
Basically, you board the tram from the backdoor, when you are alighting, you alight from the front door where the tram operator is and that is also when you pay for your ride.
