Safari is Jessica's favorite experience in the whole wide world. This week, in Tanzania Jessica (and all of us) were in heaven! We stayed at an amazing lodge called TAASA.
TAASA is about 2 kilometers outside of the infamous Serengeti. It has all the perks of being right next to the Serengeti with the wildlife, but extra perks like off-roading, super early game drive and night drives.
We had some amazing wildlife encounters this week with elephants, hippos, giraffes and lots of hungry lions! We also visited the boma of our guide, Seketo, who is a Massai warrior.
We highly suggest you check out TAASA if you're looking for an amazing safari experience. We will have a special promotional offer for our followers coming this week!! So stay tuned!!
Also, stay tuned for information about an upcoming expedition to TAASA in 2019 and potentially a giveaway. :) :) :) We wish everyone could have this experience!

Safari Blue - Zanzibar, Tanzania
This underwater safari was part of a great trip we did to Tanzania in 2013.
Zanzibar Island - Safari Blue Experience.
Just did a Blue Safari with Safari Blue Zanzibar On June 24th Sunday, on a cool weather.
I enjoyed a ride from a supply truck since I had no transport to get to Fumba Village. I was picked by Capt. Khamis, a very friendly “Babu” whom started this company with Eleanor 22 years ago and they have been working together for the past 30 years. He has full knowledge of the Island, we chatted few things on the way.
Later at Fumba, we were joined by 30+ guests and we were divided into three Mahogany made vessels; Suninga, Lydia and I was inside Kikale. Inside my vessel there 6 crew men including two super experienced divers and swimmer. One is nicknamed “The Whale” the other was Mr. Bakari aka Capt. Nyerere and he was my instructor.
Later whole snorkeling, Mr. Bakari couldn’t keep shy and silent of all good things that Eleanor does such as helping children around Fumba Village pay for Tuition Fees, Affordable Loans to the Crew and more and vacation trip they do every year together.
This experience was so great, too bad I don’t know much of the fish but I saw bunch of them, army grey long fishes, small gold, medium stripped golden yellow, black blue and other. I can mention them by colors. This was around Kwale Island.
At mid day we hangout at Funguni Sandbank. And we drove around to mangrove natural swimming pool. Later a lunch stop at the main Kwale Island beach. We had sea foods with Lobster and many other fishes. Well all Chickens, Beer, Soda, Water, and more. The tropical fruits were served. Don’t forget coconut milk while on board vessel and groundnuts.
At dawn we sailed by wind, on our way back to Fumba we saw Dolphins though they were shy and ran away several times.
I would recommend everyone to try Blue Safari while in Zanzibar and in special way with Safari Blue Zanzibar, the only company with a color full lunch tent.
Thanks For The Experience.

Zanzibar is not budget solo traveler friendly - vlog 26
I enjoyed Stone Town. The folks I met at the Stone Town hostel were fantastic. They're also doing a lot to change the personality of the area into something that's more budget friendly. In general though? Zanzibar is gorgeous and it's safe, but it was significantly more expensive than anticipated and is a pretty miserable place for a solo traveler. The lack of hostels and the prevalence of destination resorts makes it a popular retiree and honeymoon destination, but one where it's very difficult to meet other solo travelers.
I still met some incredible people and was glad to visit Zanzibar. It's also a nice place to balance the land-locked beauty of several days of safari. But, if you're anticipating a budget oriented, super solo friendly destination - you'll find nearly equal beaches, far better food, and much better travel infrastructure in Southeast Asia.
I hate to end such an incredible trip on a slightly negative note, but...if this is where you're tuning in - go back to the beginning. My visit to Tanzania and Zanzibar was a fantastic adventure!

Dogo was our Super Guide around Zanzibar island during our 3 weeks vacation.
He’s very serious. He works with other persons or agencies who hold the license like him in Zanzibar and speaks very well english.
He makes what you want around Zanzibar island, picks you up at the places always at times you asked him (check in, check out airport, boats, hotels..) and will try to get the best prices. He’ s the man with the green t-shirt in this video. We kept his contact perhaps for next time in Zanzibar.
We highly recommend it and will not be disappointed

Zamani Zanzibar Kempinski Rally - 2007 on 15-16 December, 2007 at Island of Unguja (PART 1)
Khalid Bakhresa had won the super-special the first day and the next day he had passed away. 164km/h....car landed not straight. ...then Khalid tried to hard to straighten it and the car started rolling straight into a big power pol...pol hit the roof exactly where he was sitting. ...impact was at 146 km/h....(data logging shows all that)...sitting in a backed seat you can't move anywhere....so the impact from the pol pushed he's helmet so far down that has neck broke...if it was he's car with 50mm lower seat he might have survived............

A Short Stay in Zanzibar
Hey guys, We decided to start our summer break 2018 with a quick stop in Zanzibar. We found that 4 days was just enough to unwind, relax and take in some of the sights around this beautiful little island. We stayed in Nungwi, the Northern part of the island, at Amaan resort. We found getting around to be a bit of a pain as cabs were expensive and roads were bad. The locals were however super friendly. In this video we are in Stone town, Prison Island, Nungwi Beach and snorkling of the coast of Nungwi :D ENJOY and safe travels -- music by George Ezra!
The Manta Resort's Underwater Room, Pemba Island, Zanzibar - Best Travel Destination
The Manta Resort’s recently opened Underwater Room however, is in a league of its own. Located in the Indian Ocean just off the coast of Tanzania, this floating glass cube allows guests to be completely immersed in the ocean where amongst the multitude of fish species that swim by, the star of the show is the manta ray. The project was originally conceived quite a fair distance from the exotic waters of the Indian Ocean, thousands of kilometers north of it to be exact, in Stockholm, Sweden, when in 2000, artist Mikael Genberg decided to work on a project that would make art more accessible. He created the ‘Utter Inn’ (‘Otter Inn’ in English), a single room that lies three meters below the surface of Lake Mälaren in Västerås. Operating like a human-size aquarium, the accommodations allows guests to spend an extended period of time deep within a marine environment and for the fish to behold human beings as though they themselves were in an aquarium - thus reversing the roles. Six years later, in 2006, Genberg Underwater Hotels was founded (Genberg’s aim is to create a series of original underwater rooms). The first opened in November 2013 on the idyllic Tanzanian island of Pemba and based on the ‘Utter Inn’, is the latest addition to the Manta Resort’s existing 16 rooms. Easily accessible from the Manta Resort, the Underwater Room is completely self-contained, and is divided into two parts, the underwater and the two-floor wooden deck above water level. The bedroom underwater is accessed only via a ladder leading down below the water’s surface. Featuring a comfortable double bed, it provides the perfect platform for watching life go by so close to the seabed. The hardwood deck above is equipped with toilets and a lounging area. Guests can sleep underwater, or under the stars if they choose to; rocked to sleep by the gentle lapping of the ocean. Looking up into the skies a whole other canvas than the one we’re used to, is revealed; completely free of light pollution, the Zanzibar archipelago guarantees a crystal clear blanket of stars every night. Spotlights placed underneath each windowpane below sea level light up the room’s immediate surroundings, creating a surreal luminous view of the marine life around it which is attracted by the light source whereby the creatures swimming past almost appear to be glowing. Completely isolated and utterly compelling, the experience allows guests to delve deeper into a marine world than any diving experience, to really live within a marine environment and to experience its unique rhythm and colours. A night in the Manta Underwater Room costs $750 per night per person.
