Since it is the official state organization – the special permission is needed to enter the building.
The Taurida Palace was built in 1789 on the order of Catherine the Great for her favorite Prince Gregory Potemkin (The conqueror of Taurida). Nowadays the official governmental organization is working in the building – the Interparlement Assembly of CIS.

Country Market in the middle of Russia
We started the day by collecting pure water from the nearby well (or spring). The water in the pipes is undrinkable, I was told. So twice a week my future-wife and many other people walk for kilometres to the well. Here they wait patiently, in the rain or in the freezing cold. Difficult life, I thought. At lunchtime, we walked to the market in Zlatoust. I took my camera, may be there was something interesting to film. Once I saw these poor conditions, I thought Westerners should see this. It felt for me that I was thrown into a post-nuclear wartime, where all is made up out of leftovers. Stands of fruits, clothes, and meats adjoining each other and life goes on like normal. Was I really in a country where they have nuclear weapons, cosmonauts and high standing scientific research? Hmm..Russia is certainly a land of big contrasts. Unboxing of Soviet-Era Lenin Bust from Russia - Communist Memrobelia - Ostalgia
Throughout my travels, I've seen many statues, busts, and photos of Vladimir Lenin. One time, I even saw one for sale at a market in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Unfortunately, my luggage was packed and I just didn't have the room to take it home. Thanks to eBay, I was able to purchase a Soviet-era Lenin bust from a seller in Russia. Enjoy the unboxing!

RUSSIA: MOSCOW: IKEA STORE OPENS
Russian/Eng/Nat
The Swedish furniture giant IKEA has opened a store in Russia, which the company claims is the biggest of its kind in Europe.
Thousands of Russians queued for the opening of the store, on the eve of Presidential election in Russia.
Judging by the crowds and the traffic on Wednesday it was clear that Swedish furniture designer IKEA had made the right decision in opening a flagship store just outside Moscow.
Built for a potential market of 10 (m) million Muscovites, IKEA is convinced it can survive despite Russia's cold economic climate.
After Russia's economic collapse last year more foreign investment looked very unlikely but IKEA's decision to move into Moscow looks like it might pay off.
Scandinavian design has always had a following in Russia but IKEA's philosophy is to sell well designed furniture as cheaply as possible to the mass market.
The IKEA group has an annual turnover of over eight (b) billion dollars and is well placed to invest in Russia but the opening has not been without its headaches.
For months IKEA and Russian authorities were locked in a custom duties dispute before the officials backed down on their demands and let the store set up.
For most Muscovites the chance to buy stylish Scandinavian furniture as (m) millions of Europeans have done is well worth queuing for.
SOUNDBITE: (Russian)
I did not have enough time to look around, because I came here looking specifically for a fold-up chair for our dacha. But then, well, the sofas here are so nice too.
SUPER CAPTION: Lyudmila Petrova, Pensioner
Since the currency crash in August 1998, Russia has weathered a debt crisis and the cost of financing the war in Chechnya.
IKEA's decision to go ahead with investing tens of (m) millions of dollars in Russia is a very different approach to most other multinationals wanting to do business in Russia.
Others are taking a wait and see approach, ahead of the result of the Presidential election on Sunday.
But the Swedish Trade Minister, believes Russia faces a period of stability which IKEA can only benefit from.
SOUNDBITE: (English)
I believe that we are facing a new period of stability in Russia and the recovery after the crisis is now gaining momentum and I think consumers will be back on the market. They will get increased wages, more revenues and incomes and that will provide more opportunities for investors.
SUPER CAPTION: Leif Pagrotsky, Swedish Trade Minister
The Russian economy grew by three percent last year after shrinking five percent the year before and economists say they see fragile signs of growth.
And for IKEA at least that means the economy, like their furniture, looks good enough to invest in.

The State Hermitage Museum (Russian: Госуда́рственный Эрмита́ж, tr. Gosudárstvennyj Ermitáž; IPA: [ɡəsʊˈdarstvʲɪnɨj ɪrmʲɪˈtaʂ]) is a museum of art and culture in Saint Petersburg, Russia. One of the largest and oldest museums in the world, it was founded in 1764 by Catherine the Great and has been open to the public since 1852. Its collections, of which only a small part is on permanent display, comprise over three million items (the numismatic collection accounts for about one third of them) including the largest collection of paintings in the world. The collections occupy a large complex of six historic buildings along Palace Embankment, including the Winter Palace, a former residence of Russian emperors. Apart from them, the Menshikov Palace, Museum of Porcelain, Storage Facility at Staraya Derevnya and the eastern wing of the General Staff Building are also part of the museum. The museum has several exhibition centers abroad. The Hermitage is a federal state property._ _Since July 1992, the director of the museum has been Mikhail Piotrovsky.
Of six buildings of the main museum complex, five, named the Winter Palace, Small Hermitage, Old Hermitage, New Hermitage and Hermitage Theatre, are open to the public. The entrance ticket for foreign tourists costs more than the fee paid by citizens of Russia and Belarus. However, entrance is free of charge the first Thursday of every month for all visitors, and free daily for students and children. The museum is closed on Mondays. The entrance for individual visitors is located in the Winter Palace, accessible from the Courtyard.. (Quelle Wiki)

???????? ST. PETERSBURG IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CITY IN THE WORLD
28 AUGUST: Coming back to a place that I hold very close to my heart is very meaningful to me, especially if it’s Russia. Arriving to St. Petersburg felt like coming back home, to a place in my mind that I so desperately wanted to be close to again. Working towards being able to travel with freedom anytime, anywhere is something that motivates me everyday. Patience is key.
29 AUGUST: St. Petersburg makes me want to CRY with JOY. Photos and videos can’t encapsulate the beauty of this city! What a day it was... we visited Saint Isaac’s Cathedral, Peter and Paul Fortress, The Hermitage... and finally experienced a traditional Russian ballet. I can’t even describe to you with words about how powerful Russian history and culture is. If you know, you know.
