???? Driving STEM at Talladega Superspeedway | Presented by First Bank of Alabama
During the Fall 2019 race weekend, Talladega Superspeedway hosted its inaugural Driving STEM program presented by First Bank of Alabama, the oldest continuously operating bank in the Yellowhammer State. More than 550 students from local schools came to the brand-new Talladega Garage Experience to learn about science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and its relation in the sport of NASCAR.
Students had the opportunity to learn via Q&A sessions with NASCAR drivers, tours through the NASCAR Cup Series Garage to see teams in action getting their cars prepped, stations featuring future job possibilities thanks to representatives from NASA/Polaris, Hoar Construction, and more, and they also were able to view practice for the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series.
We're looking forward to the next race weekend and hosting more students here at the biggest and baddest track!

Nascar Talladega intro 2012
Talladega Superspeedway (Formerly Alabama International Motor Speedway) is a motorsports complex located north of Talladega, Alabama, United States.[1] It is located on the former Anniston Air Force Base just outside the small city of Lincoln. It was constructed by International Speedway Corporation, a business controlled by the France Family, in the 1960s. Talladega is most known for its steep banking and the unique location of the start/finish line - which is closer to turn one than at Daytona. The track currently hosts the NASCAR series such as the Sprint Cup Series, Nationwide Series, and the Camping World Truck Series. Talladega Superspeedway is the longest NASCAR oval with a length of 2.66 miles (4.28 km), and the track also has a seating capacity of 175,000 spectators.
