Lucky Plaza Info:
Lucky Plaza is a shopping centre located in Orchard in Singapore. Lucky Plaza was completed in 1981 and has proven to be one of the more successful shopping centres in Singapore during its heyday.
In 1978, many expected the 736 strata units and 30-storey commercial cum residential building (Lucky Plaza) to become a 'white elephant'. Little did they expect that Lucky Plaza would turn into a huge success, drawing in waves of eager shoppers, mostly wealthy local shoppers who lived in Tanglin and Cairnhill areas, and Malaysians and Indonesians.
Lucky Plaza, pioneered the concept of a modern shopping mall – e.g. open vertical 'bazaar''; a multi-storey, fully air-conditioned shopping centre; first golden bubble lift in South East Asia; well-designed positions of voids, foyers and concourses throughout the Plaza; wide corridors along shopping arcade; wide glass panels on both fronts of the shop for attractive display of goods. In the early years of its launch, small-scale businesses and individual shops selling luxury products such as jewellery, antiques, handicrafts and branded watches occupied the storefronts of Lucky Plaza.
A Little Manila exists at the Lucky Plaza, where there are numerous Filipino restaurants, remittance agencies, Filipino beauty salons, Filipino medical offices, and Filipino stores.

WokHey Bugis Junction | Where to Eat in Singapore
Update: 6 September 2019 WokHey have just renewed their Halal Certification.
Where to eat in Singapore - WokHey Bugis Junction.
When you are thinking about where to eat in Singapore, WokHey is a place that you should not miss. WokHey is a take away kiosk that sells halal zi zhar style fried rice or noodles. In the case of WokHey, they have either Ramen or Udon instead of the usual egg noodles.
The ordering is simple. They have 4 different bases to start from, two stir fried rice bases, one stir fried ramen and one stir fried udon. Pick the meat of your choice, chicken, beef or prawn. On top of that, they have an array of additional ingredients which you can add on for $1 each.
After ordering your WokHey, you can spend your waiting time taking a peek into the preparation of your meal. We found this to be therapeutic as well.
The idea is great since it is a grab and go, but the food is freshly cooked. So, you can get a hot meal quickly, while it is still tasty and will fill you up. Pay WokHey a visit when you are thinking about where to eat in Singapore.
Address:
WokHey
Bugis Junction,
200 Victoria St, B1-K3

Little India Singapore Info:
Little India is an ethnic district in Singapore. It is located east of the Singapore River—across from Chinatown, located west of the river—and north of Kampong Glam. Both areas are part of the urban planning area of Rochor. Little India is commonly known as Tekka in the Indian Singaporean community.
Little India is distinct from the Chulia Kampong area, which, under the Raffles Plan of Singapore, was originally a division of colonial Singapore where ethnic Indian immigrants would reside under the British policy of ethnic segregation. However, as Chulia Kampong became more crowded and competition for land escalated, many ethnic Indians moved into what is now known as Little India. (The Chulia Kampong district no longer exists as a distinct area.)
The Little India area is reported to have developed around a former settlement for Indian convicts. Its location along the Serangoon River originally made it attractive for raising cattle, and trade in livestock was once prominent in the area. Eventually, other economic activity developed, and by the turn of the 20th century, the area began to look like an ethnic Indian neighbourhood.
Although ethnic Indians no longer tend to stay solely segregated in one place as previously arranged under the modern People's Action Party (PAP) policy of racial harmony, for the sake of cultural heritage, many of the ethnically Indian commercial or cottage industry usages are concentrated in Little India (although Indian-dominant commercial zones are also found in HDB estates). Contrary to stereotypes, Little India is not solely an Indian neighbourhood. Located in the neighbourhood alongside shops that cater predominantly to the Indians are Chinese clan associations, places of worship of different religions, and a variety of different business ranging from electrical supplies, hardware, second-hand goods alongside traditional spice grinders and grocers. One of the more prominent examples of cross-cultural patronage besides those regarding food is that many Chinese parents go to shops in Little India to grind rice to make congee for infants. The machinery used in this instance was initially flown in from India to grind spices into powder for use in Indian cuisine. Little India differs from many other neighbourhoods in Singapore in many ways. Tekka Market is also multi-cultural, with produce and sundries that cater to the many ethnic groups in Singapore.

And again after 2018, this year downtown Orchard Road has been decorated with the christmas lightings. The christmas light up theme is The Greatest Gift along with christmas boxes, christmas trees and santa claus as the mascot. Where to Eat in Singapore | Pasar Malam in Singapore | SMALL CITY ISLAND
Where to Eat in Singapore | Pasar Malam | Small City Island
In this video, follow us on a food hunt at the Pasar Malam. We love the tantalizing street food that we can get from the Pasar Malam.
Pasar Malam or Night Market in Singapore is our favourite place to go for a street food hunt in Singapore.
Singapore does not have a lively street food culture, unlike Malaysia, Indonesia or Thailand. The closest we could get to street food is at the Pasar Malam.
Pasar Malam are temporary bazaar than last for a few days to a few weeks at a time. A variety of vendors can be found selling their wares, ranging from clothes to electronics, household wares to footwear.
But the biggest draw to the Pasar Malam would be the food stalls. There are many different stalls that brings to you a myriad of mouth-watering, delicious while reasonably priced food that could span the globe.
The availability of different street foods from all parts of the world and ethnic cuisine means that your taste-buds are constantly kept happy!
Thank you for watching.

It was a very interactive session and both groups had a very enriching experience.

What to do in Little India Singapore | SMALL CITY ISLAND
What to do in Little India Singapore
Go on a trip through Little India with us. Little India is always buzzing with activity and the largest stores are not only an attraction but are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, every day. There are always things to do in Little India Singapore.
Food is one of the reason we were in Little India.
I had the Masala Thosai or Dosa which is a thick crispy pancake made from a secret recipe that contains fermented rice batter and black lentils. The accompanying chutneys, especially the green minty one really enhances the taste of the dosa. The ghee potatoes hidden under the dosa are amazingly tasty and proves to remain light despite its rich flavours.
Fazeera had the Briyani, both chicken and mutton at Tekka Centre.
For briyani in Tekka Centre, Allauddin’s Briyani is your safest bet. Allauddin’s Briyani is always ready to serve breakfasts for champions. The portions are huge and the service is quick.
The highlight of the Nasi Briyani was definitely the rice. The high quality basmati rice with cashews drizzled in it will knock your socks off. The pickled cucumbers perfectly complemented the rice and mutton or chicken too, adding much-appreciated acidity.
Talking about shopping, while there are countless places to shop in Little India, one attraction you shouldn't miss is Mustafa Centre.
This gigantic superstore features three combined malls and is open 24 hours a day. Mustafa is famous for selling nearly everything under the sun (with alcohol and pork products being the notable exceptions).
It's the place for spices, and electronics, and DVDs, and sporting goods, and healthcare, and stationery, and foreign exchange, and remittance services, and the list goes on.
It’s even got a travel agency if you’re keen on exploring South East Asia or beyond. Mustafa is usually packed with shoppers during the day, but if you can wait till after midnight, you'll enjoy a much less crowded visit.
Thank you for watching.
