Moshi, Tanzania 2016
This is a short movie of my trip to Tanzania in 2016. I worked for the 'Team Vista Project' which is supporting the Kaloleni community in Moshi, Tanzania. This project focuses on assisting locals to better and brighter futures by improving their skills and giving them a range of opportunities to earn money through various jobs. It was an incredible experience that has changed me as a person, I appreciate the opportunities I have by living in Australia more than I ever have before. While professionally as a teacher in Australia, I value my job as an educator of children as one of the most vital contributions to their success in life beyond the classroom. Education is the key to so many aspects of life not just academic but social and emotional are just as important. Without education the challenge of life is far greater than it should be. Everybody, no matter where you live DESERVES the chance of a GOOD and WORTHWHILE education that provides them with the skills, knowledge and understanding to a better brighter future. For now it is 'baadaye Tanzania' (See you soon).

UCDVO Tanzania Morogoro 2016
This summer I spent 4 weeks in Morogoro -Tanzania working as part of UCDVO. We spent our time teaching computers to Teacher and english to both the teachers and kids. (with lots and lots of fun mixed in between)The 4 weeks I spent in Morogoro -Tanzania as part of UCD Volunteers Overseas were some of the most amazing weeks of my life. The passion and enthusiasm I saw in those schools was something I have never experienced before. Although we went over as teachers I feel like the students and teachers of Kilakala Primary School taught me so much more than I could ever have imagined. Whether it was just embracing how bad a dancer you are and just going for it anyway or even just getting excited about the simplest of things (glitter and bubbles are magical things). They have such an amazing way of life and how they go about doing things is simply amazing.
