It's hard not to like this city! | Málaga, Spain
Our appetites whetted by yesterday's food tour, we were determined to find out what to eat in Málaga, starting with my favourite: churros! We stopped by the Atarazanas Market to have lunch, headed home for a siesta, and then had dinner (and gelato) at the chiringuitos (open restaurants/bars) by the Plaza de a la Malagueta beach. I gotta tell you, Málaga set the bar extremely high for our first city in Spain together-- a relief after the horrible AirBNB experience we had the first night there!

3-Day Malaga Food Binge! || Where to eat in the Costa del Sol Capital!
For three days I stuff myself silly in and around Malaga, capital of the much lauded/hated Costa del Sol.
We start off in Torremolinos and then head into Malaga where for one day I binge with my cousin, then I binge with Devour Malaga Food Tours, then I binge by myself.
There's a lot of binging.
I sadly ran out of time to to go the beach and eat espeto and fried fish; but hopefully this video provides an insight into the real Malaga away from the waterside promenades.

[4K] MALAGA PORT (2019) NIGHT WALKING TOUR - Cafes, bars and nightlife
The port of Málaga comes alive at night in 4k in this virtual tour of the harbour and it's nightlife at the end of the 2019 Carnival weekend.
We begin near the Lighthouse (La Farola De Málaga or The Lamp of Málaga.) We follow the lines of bustling cafes, bars and restaurants along the Paseo del Muelle Uno, with the sinking sun to our left. The majestic Trasmediterránea Málaga to Melilla ferry sits at harbour all lit up, with the Ferris Wheel, Mirador Princess visible behind.
Most of the store stay open late, so early evening is a great time to do a bit of Malaga night shopping or simply enjoy the best of Malaga city nightlife.
We pass the Chapel of the port of Malaga before heading to the Centre Pompidou Málaga - a distinctive mutlicoloured cube that houses the famous contemporary art museum.
We visit the open art gallery to the side, with it's cool and trendy bar (and good place to hire bikes - QQ Bikes or try a Segway.)
From here, we walk beneath the majestic Pérgola Zigzagueante Muelle Uno before catching a pair of tango dancers entertaining the passers by.
This concludes our slow TV city walk.

Enjoying a bottle of Halchon, an inexpensive Spanish wine on the yoga platform at the Valle de Vida Retreat Center. Just far enough away from the bust city streets!

The iconic Churrerías of Malaga
Whether it's cold and raining, or you need rejuvenating after a long night at the Feria, the perfect solution is a steaming hot cup of chocolate and a ration of freshly cooked churros.
Churros is a type of batter made to a closely guarded recipe, cooked in hot oil and is complemented by hot sweet chocolate. Feelings of chill and fatigue will evaporate as the combination warms and revitalises the body.

Discover the Málaga bodega El Pimpi and how they grow their own food
Discover the vegetable garden of the world famous Málaga Bodega El Pimpi. Watch Sr. Pepe Cobos, one of the founders of the company explain how the bodega grows their own vegetables. What kind of tomatoes they grow and why they prepare them the way they do. With their great pride being the huevo de toro tomato. A gigantic meat tomato that is not chopped but served as a steak.
Pepe also talks about the philosophy of El Pimpi. “The most important aspects for us were culture, tradition and supporting charities. He believes that a rich village without culture is poor and a poor village with culture is rich.
The other founder sold his share of the El Pimpi Bodega to Antonio Banderas. Who also seems to have his Malaga residence on the left side above the bodega. What strikes us when filming is the obvious cultural feeling that is just everywhere and the awesome vibe that everybody working there gives out. From the waiters, the cooks to the people doing the dishes. They for us make it extra special and elevate the Bodega to what it is today.
We've made this video in collaboration with the Olive Press Spain. And are looking foreward to create a small series together.
