Video Transcription:
Leslie: Hey Thomasville, I am here in downtown Thomasville, Georgia, and I'm her at Farmer's Daughter's Vineyard. I'm here with Whitney and Whitney is the manager here, and I am so excited. This is on of my favorite places to come, and I'm enjoying a glass of wine here with my friends this afternoon.
Leslie: So my name's Leslie Bennett and I'm with Bennett Real Estate company, and Whitney can you tell us why Farmer's Daughter is so unique? What's so unique about you guys?
Whitney: We offer great wine that we produce locally. We grow a French American hybrid grape and we have eight award winning wines currently. You can come in to do a wine tasting and have a cheese plate. We're a really relaxed atmosphere. We're a favorite among the locals as well as the vacationers as a destination spot.
Leslie: So you can come in and you can buy a bottle. You can buy a case like my friend did today. You can even stop next door at Soho's and grab some lunch or dinner, and them come over and enjoy a glass of wine. And also the wine tasting is so awesome. So tell us about your new wine. I know you've got a new release.
Whitney: Yep. It's Saltwater Gypsy, and this is our first ever semi-sweet blush. It's just selling like crazy. People are just loving it up.
Leslie: So they ship wine also. You can come in and get gift baskets, and I just wanted to point out my personal favorite. This is Knockout, and if you enjoyed it before, it came back recently, and in my opinion, it's even better. So I really encourage you guys to come on down to Farmer's Daughter's Vineyard. What are your hours, Whitney?
Whitney: It's easier to tell you when we're closed. The only day we're closed is Monday. So a lot of people don't realize that we are open on Sundays for a little Funday Sunday, one to four. And then during the week, we close down between three and five, but open regular business hours on Friday and Saturday eleven to nine.
Leslie: Yeah, and it's a local favorite spot on the weekends especially. Do you all still have music here?
Whitney: Yes, every Friday night.
Leslie: Every Friday night. So y'all-
Whitney: Starting at six thirty.
Leslie: Starting at six thirty, so y'all come on. You can come down tonight and make sure you come by and say hi to Whitney even if you're not planning on having a glass of wine, come on in and stop by. Thanks so much. Y'all have a great day. I'm Leslie Bennett with Bennett Real Estate Company keeping it simple and keeping it real.

Inside Juvenile Detention
As recently as 2005, the state of Virginia had eight centers like Bon Air Juvenile Correctional Facility, housing more than 1,300 delinquent youth. But by 2017, after a series of reforms, that number had shrunk to one.
“It's not that you can't do good work here,” said Andy Block, who, since 2014, has served as the juvenile-justice department’s director. “But the place itself and the design and the size and the location are barriers to doing good work.” Block and others are working to close Bon Air and replace it with something that reflects the juvenile justice reforms that have taken hold in Virginia and across the country—a system that once focused on confinement is now dedicated to rehabilitation. In recent years, more than 70 percent of Virginia's juvenile inmates were rearrested within three years of their release.*
Read more on The Atlantic:
*This documentary originally stated that Virginia has one of the highest recidivism rates in the country. This characterization was based on incomplete data. The documentary also stated that the three-year rearrest rate for current Bon Air inmates would be 74 percent. This was the rate for former juvenile inmates in Virginia in 2014. We regret the errors.
