Tavistock Goose Fair during the 90s! Historical footage. Travel to Britain, England, Dartmoor.
The following clip is part of a longer video that I filmed during various trips to Dartmoor / Devon / England in the mid and late 90s. The chapter Funfair shows recordings from the Tavistock Goose Fair. I recorded it with my first digital Cam, a Sony dcr-trv210e in Digital8 format. Since then i visited Great Britain, Tavistock and the English country side, every year and ist changed a lot during the years. Watch Dartmoor ponies and sheep in Devon! A TRIP DOWN THE LAUNCESTON BRANCH FROM MARSH MILLS TO TAVISTOCK SOUTH IN 1962 (SLIDE SHOW)
The GWR's line from Tavistock Junction at Marsh Mills, near Plymouth, to Launceston opened as a broad gauge line in 1865 and closed on 30th December 1962. In its final year of operation, we enjoy a nostalgic photographic trip between Marsh Mills and Tavistock South.
