Places to see in ( Leeds - UK ) Temple Newsam
Temple Newsam is a Tudor-Jacobean house with grounds landscaped by Capability Brown, in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. The estate lies to the east of the city, just south of Halton Moor, Halton, Whitkirk and Colton.
Temple Newsam is also the name of an electoral ward for Leeds City Council, which includes the areas of Halton Moor, Halton, Whitkirk, Colton and Austhorpe. Of most significant historical and cultural interest is the Chippendale Society collection of Chippendale works that are on permanent loan. Temple Newsam House is one of Leeds Museums and Galleries sites, and has an international reputation for scholarship and research, unusual in a local authority museum service. In his book Britain's Best Museums and Galleries, Mark Fisher (a former DCMS minister) gives this museum an excellent review. When interviewed on Front Row, Radio 4, November 2004 Mr. Fisher placed Temple Newsam House in the top three non-national museums in the country, along with Birmingham's Barber Institute and the Dulwich Picture Gallery.
Many other events take place at Temple Newsam, such as the Leeds Waggy Walk event for Dogs Trust and Race for Life for Cancer Research UK. As of early 2013, there has also been a weekly Parkrun event.

Temple Newsam in Leeds from above. Arial photography using a DJI Phantom 3. Temple Newsam is one of the countries best grade 1 listed buildings. Fantastic on the outside even better on the inside. This place was mentioned in the doomsday book. It has been home to the Knights Templar, sveral members of royalty and is now owned by Leeds City Council. The house as it stands now was constructed in the 1500's and was built on the foundations of the 13th century house before it. Its ground house a cafe, farm, gardens and the house itself all set in thousands of acres of forest and park.

Tour Temple Newsam house, farm and grounds, and discover the origins of one of Leeds's best known ghost stories.
The estate has certainly provided its share of history, with details listed in the domesday book, over 1000 years ago. Of course it is relatively recently, the last 300 - 400 years, that the estate has taken its current form thanks to a succession of owners, including Sir. Arthur Ingram and his descendents, who were responsible for developing the main house, converting it from a court yard home into the beautiful land mark it is today.
Temple Newsam house and farm, including the expansive grounds, ponds, and walled garden currently sit on a parcel of approximately 1000 acres, but originally consisted of over 4000 acres.

我覺得係黎到LEEDS MUST GO的地方之一, 近距離接觸農場的動物, 適合一家大細, 情侶拍拖或者鐘意大自然地方的人黎
由Leeds市中心搭的士去Temple Newsam應該大概HKD 200左右車資, 大概都係20分鐘就到。
農場入面有好多唔同品種, 仲有好多好少見的牛, 羊品種, 亦有好多唔同品種的豬同埋家禽。所有動物都好Friendly, 大部份動物都可以觸摸, 十分值得一去!
home farm 旁邊就是Temple Newsam House博物館, 又有美美的公園, 花園, 間中仲會有大型的節目，絕對係可以玩足半日的地方!!

I FOUND A TROLL TUNNEL! - Temple Newsam Park Near Leeds, British Stately Home, Winter Woodland Walk
Today we visited Temple Newsam Park as part of a New Years bid to get fitter and healthier! We wondered through the woods, around the pond and lake and found a curious tunnel beneath a bridge, ideal for fairy tail trolls! Temple Newsam is a stately home near Leeds. It has a Jacobean house dating back to 1520 whilst the site itself is listed in the Domesday Book of 1086. Once owned by the Knights Templar, the site was landscaped to its current style by Capability Brown in the 1700 and is now an excellent place for a stroll.
