DYA717 Japan Okinawa Naha Kitakagusuku 2016 04 23
Went down to breakfast at 5:50 a.m. and I was #9 waiting in line. “K” was diddling around in his room and when he came down had about 30 of us eating already and he had to stand in line to get his food. Today was a big gyp! This was the place where they had a big bowl of NATTO last time but never had dis time! We checked out early, caught the 8:15 a.m. shuttle to the airport. Today being a Saturday in Japan, it was busy with long check in lines. I couldn’t find the Alliance gold star check-in so we had to wait in da loooooong non-gold line. We went upstairs for the security check-in and then I saw the Gold star check-in line with it’s own special security check point. No one was in line and we could have gotten inside within minutes. Instead the whole process took us about 1 and ½ hours! After walking around a bit and finally asking one agent at a counter whea da lounge was, we finally found da ANA Alliance gold star lounge. They have a nice, really big lounge here at Itami where we had a few snacks and drinks. We went to the gate just before boarding and there were what looked almost 100 students waiting to board.
Got into Naha airport around 1:10 p.m. It looked like jillions of students were coming and going. Check out da video. I spoke to one of the teacher chaperones and she said this was just part of a regular school excursion. Cousin “M” was waiting in the arrivals area and “R” & “S” was waiting in the car. I told them some folks gave me a list of things to check out so we went directly from the airport to Kokusai Dori in Naha City. Picked up some junks. There you can see more jillions of students walking around and spending their parents’ $KA-LA. OK, I am usually good at multi-tasking. BUT, when I gotta shop for some folks who gave me a request list, I end up single-tasking. Therefore, with shopping as a single task, I forgot to take pictures while walking around the shopping area, trying to scratch off my check list! Kekekekeke So you don’t get to see the jillions of people walking around Kokusai Dori on this gorgeously warm, muggy, sunny day in Naha, Okinawa! Ha ha ha or kekekekeke
On the way to Kitanagusuku where our hotel was, I noticed all kinds of gadgets in cousin “S’s” car. So I went ask him about it and found he had like the regular GPS screen, he has direct TV so we were watching a golf tournament live. Of course every so often as the car movaes, the pictures gets pixelated and looks funny. He also had one small screen which shows the view from his video cam which runs every time he drives. It records and saves videos just in case he gets into one accident. Then I told them my list not finished so on the way to our hotel in Kitanakagusuku, we stopped into a DAISO 100-yen store in Ginowan City at one strip mall. Found some stuffs but not the same exact brand as on my check list but I picked it up. For all you know my check-list picture was last year’s junks while stuffs I picked up today was more up-to-date. Besides, how much can you lose out on when the stuffs cost $1-US each. Then we went to our hotel up on the hills near our cousins’ place.
At 6 p.m. we met for dinner and the Emeral bar & lounge. Same ONO KAU-KAU as da the time I was here. Boy what a tiring day!
