The Return of 10 Pin Bowling | Thames News Archive Footage
10 Pin Bowling makes a come back! After being a success in the 1950's/60's, bowling venues got taken over and it was offices and supermarkets that took over the land. This video shows how increased leisure time and space to build freeing up saw the return of bowling.

Take a tour of Wandsworth Common in South West London in our latest travel video! Drone aerial footage shot in 4K, the rest is in 1080p.
Wandsworth common is a public common in Wandsworth, in the London Borough of Wandsworth, south London. There are a number of ponds and a lake. A small brick bridge crosses over the lake's waters at one point, connecting two pedestrian pathways. The railway line running between Clapham Junction and Wandsworth Common railway stations broadly divides the common up into two strips, west and east. There are also tennis courts, a bowling green and a cafe bar in the grounds, named 'Common Ground'. A fitness trail has been developed and the Common is popular with local runners, dog walkers and cyclists. Houses on the Wandsworth side are in what is known as the 'Toast Rack' and are large Victorian semis and detached homes, some with blue plaques denoting notable residents who previously lived there, including the British prime minister David Lloyd George. Also nearby is a plaque to Thomas Hardy on the nearby Arundel Terrace. The Hope pub is a great spot for walkers and dogwalkers and is conveniently located near Wandsworth Common railway station.

Camper Van on Fire
This Volkswagen camper van caught fire in the high street in the Welsh town of Machynlleth, Wales, United Kingdom. Shortly after catching fire the rear tyres exploaded with a load bang. Nobody was hurt or injured as the occupants of the camper van had managed to escape. The cause of the fire was not known but could have possibly been a faulty gas cylinder which caught fire. There was significant damage done to the road where the tarmac had melted. The Volkswagen Caper van on fire has been feature in a film about the iconic Volkswagen Caper Vans called ‘Bus’ made by the filmmaker Damon Ristau. In Germany Camper Vans are friendly referred too as a Bus or Bulli.
The fire was contained by the local fire brigade who quickly responded to the scene and quickly extinguished the flames.
This clip has been used in a feature film called 'The Bus' by film maker Damon Ristau .......see link below for DVD !

CHRISTMAS SPIRIT IN KINGSTON AND FREEZING ON SOUTHEND PIER
CHRISTMAS SPIRIT IN KINGSTON AND FREEZING ON SOUTHEND PIER
Before Christmas I went for a last minute shopping in Kingston-upon-Thames. It was crowed but much better than Central London. And Christmas market was much better than the ones I visited on South Bank.
And a day before New Years Eve I went to Sounthend-on-Sea. I love coming here and going all the way to the end of the pier and just having a quiet time to go through the things which bother me. It was very cold and foggy so I didn't spend here much time and went back pretty quickly.
