The Making of The Bow Tower in Calgary, Alberta
A signature Ledcor construction project, The Bow is currently the tallest office tower in Calgary, and tallest in Canada outside Toronto. The Bow is also considered the start of redevelopment in Calgary's Downtown East Village. It was completed in 2012 and was ranked among the top 10 architectural projects of 2012 according to Azure Magazine.

The big and beautiful Bow is a new addition and landmark in Calgary. Located downtown Calgary the Bow proves that our growing buildings continue to be the drive for our economy to grow.
The bow sits tall at 218 metres ( or 715 ft) beating out the Suncor building (the tallest building in Calgary since 1984) at 215 metres (or 715 Ft). The ground breaking on the bow start in 2007 and finished this past year in 2012. The Bow features two floors of retail, 3 floors of sky gardens, spaced out approximately every 18 floors, served by express elevators.
There is 53 office floors equally approximately 1,700,000 sq ft, 4 mechanical floors, and in total over 84,000 square metres of glass. Parking isn't an issue at the bow with 1,400 parking stalls in the 6 level parked spanning two blocks. You can easily access the bow through the +15 system in the winter or on the rare rainy day in Calgary through the Telus building, Suncor Energy Centre, and 6th Avenue Place. Stop by The Bow, and enjoy the beauty from the outside, as it continues to be one of the most beautiful towers downtown Calgary.

The Calgary Tower is a 191-metre (627 ft) free standing observation tower in Downtown Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Originally called the Husky Tower, it was conceived as a joint venture between Marathon Realty Company Limited and Husky Oil as part of an urban renewal plan and to celebrate Canada's centennial of 1967. The tower was built at a cost of $3,500,000 and weighs approximately 10,900 tonnes, of which 60% is below ground. It opened to the public on June 30, 1968 as the tallest structure in Calgary, and the tallest in Canada outside of Toronto. It was renamed the Calgary Tower in 1971.
The building was a founding member of the World Federation of Great Towers.

On Saturday June 21, 2014, Lafarge demonstrated logistical prowess pouring almost 6,000 m3 of specially designed concrete in 25 hours.
