Royal Ontario Museum - Where mummies and dinosaurs chill
The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) is Toronto's largest Museum of world culture and natural history and that became apparent when I spent 3 hours on one floor! I loved it here. I just wanted to see, read and do everything. You definitely need a full day for this amazing place.
There's so much here but everything fits nicely together. You never feel like you're in a mish-mash of cultural craziness. It simply flows. For me, the First Nation section was the most striking. I've already seen lots of Ancient Egyptian, Roman and Greek artifacts before, so finding out about the First Nation peoples was new and poignant for me.
The dinosaur areas are also a must see. Even after five wonderous hours, I still hadn't seen everything, so get there early because you don't want to sell yourself short. Even the architecture of the building itself is a piece of beautiful art in my eyes.

The Art Gallery of Mississauga has recently received a Museum Assistance Program and Collections Management Grant for its Storage Wars project, generously supported by the Department of Canadian Heritage.
This project consists of a re-organization and consolidation of its Permanent Art Collection, which supports the communities' access to a unique collection that is truly reflective of the rich, cultural tapestry of Mississauga!
The Storage Wars project allows for fresh ways of engaging both with the collection and the public, and brings AGM Curatorial and Education staff, artists and cultural producers easier access to these culturally significant objects.
