'Pourquoi le Brexît?' - LIVE chez Le Crazy Coqs Club
Book to see it live-
A duet for Monsieurs Barnier et Juncker
Performed by Bounder & Cad
Lyrics by Adam Drew
My friends- as once you were
It was a dream so European
But fine. As you prefer.
‘Take back control’ (so North Korean…)
It’s why De Gaulle said ‘non’
Those rosbif Brits will only vex it
Then- bon!- Dave Cameron
Brought us ‘le Brexît’
Like clubs, we charge a fee
But negatives do come with plusses
You gain that back (times three?¹)
So go and stick that… on your buses
But fine. Go ‘get your coat’
But first the bill- the waiter checks it…
100… billion?!
-‘That’s for le Brexît'
No more free trade, so burn your ships
You keep your Bovril, your fish and chips
No more champagne, you Saxon swine
No more butter mountains, no lakes of wine
Go build your ‘wall'
Make Britain small!
Pourquoi le Brexit?!
And migrants... oh, the fear!
Will you believe those rabble-rousers?
Net gains! 2bil each year?²
Free movement’s good- observe my trousers
Praise Merkel, Europe’s light-
She isn't trying to annexe it
(Not like
the other Reich)
Nein!! Was ist ‘Brexît'?!
Farewell then old friend, have your divorce
Bend your bananas, eat your pet horse
Go make your hoovers like typhoons
And let your kids blow up balloons
You want it hard
Alors, en garde
Show us your ‘Brexît’!
You may still ask- what does it mean?
(Can’t conjugate or circumflex it)
We’ll see. Bof, c’est la vie-
‘Brexit means Brexit'

Sooz Kempner - Walking On Sunshine (The Crazy Coqs Presents - Live at Zédel)
Sooz Kempner sings Walking On Sunshine a song written by Kimberley Rew for Katrina and the Waves' 1983 eponymous debut full-length album. The re-recorded version was at first released on the band's 1985 self-titled album as the album's second single and reached No. 4 in Australia, No. 9 in the United States, and No. 8 in the United Kingdom. It was the Waves' first US top 40 hit, and their biggest success in the United Kingdom until Love Shine a Light (1997). Originally conceived of as a ballad, Katrina Leskanich decided to belt the song out as a more upbeat song.
