Visit The Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth
The Donkey Sanctuary is an international animal welfare charity, based in the UK, working to protect and care for donkeys and mules.
Come and meet some of our 500 donkeys here at the headquarters of The Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth, Devon, home to hundreds of donkeys in need of our care and your cuddles!
Our donkeys love to meet new people and you can discover their unique characters and stories. Can you find the gentle giant Poitou donkeys, or our gorgeous adoption donkeys? Come and cuddle our main yard donkeys or spot a miniature in one of the fields!
During your trip you can also enjoy visiting our Hayloft restaurant, Visitors' Centre and Gift Shop. We also have a maze, Nature Centre and beautiful walking trails where you can take in the wonderful wildlife and countryside that surround our donkeys.

Leeds Jurassic Trail, Searching for Dinosaurs around Leeds City Centre

Full-size dinosaurs are coming to life all over Leeds this summer and the whole family can have a monster day out hunting them down! If you are in search of things to do this summer, there are five to find around the city – all you need to do is follow the Jurassic Trail to track them down. You can start at any point and it’s an easy walk, so young and old alike can join in. Along the way you may even see one of our roaming dinosaurs – but don’t worry, they don’t bite!
This fantastic free event is part of our ambition to make Leeds a truly child friendly city – a place where children are valued, supported, enjoy their life and can look forward to a bright future. Brought to you by LeedsBID, the Jurassic Trail starts from Saturday 27th July until Sunday 1st September. The trail will take you through Victoria Leeds, Leeds Kirkgate Market, The Merrion Centre and Trinity Leeds, making it perfect for dino spotting whatever the weather.
