New Zealand Farm Animals
My girlfriend and I traveled all over New Zealand last April. One of our favorite moments was visiting a farm in Rotorua, NZ on the North Island. I've pieced together some of my favorite shots of the farm animals. I captured all of these videos on my GoPro Hero3 Silver edition. Check out our company at heroicrv.com
Spooky house walk-through Hokitika, New Zealand
A walk-though of the spooky house we discovered during our travels in New Zealand. The house appears to be an old hospital or nursing home that seems to have been left pretty much untouched since it closed. Appartently it is now functions as backpackers/holiday accommodation. Nobody else was staying there while we were there. Adding to the spooky feeling of the place.
Northland dairy farm body pit
An offal hole is one thing: an open body pit of hundreds of dead cows and calves is quite another - all on the same farm cows were being beaten with a metal pipe! This open pit of rotting bodies is very close to a stream, which puts the farm in breach of MPI's guidelines; Dairy NZ's guidelines; Northland Regional Council regulations AND Fonterra's supplier agreement.
Given the sheer number of animals in the open grave, the owner may likely have known about it, so it seems there could be more than just one person breaking the rules on this farm. While sadly, offal holes or pits are commonplace on New Zealand farms, what’s even more disturbing in this instance are the specific details: the sheer number of dead animals, the environmental breaches in relation to the condition and location of the open pit AND the fact it seems MPI missed this open mass grave are all highly concerning.
Given that MPI had received complaints from farm workers of physical animal abuse on this property, MPI should have examined the body pit to determine if any of the animals had been violently abused.

Off The Grid Cabin In New Zealand Paradise
Hidden amongst the spectacular mountain ranges of the Kahurangi National park of New Zealand, this beautiful off-the-grid cabin sits in paradise.
Support us on Patreon:
Affectionally titled the Honeywell Hut, after it's builder Jack Honeywell, the off the grid cabin, although relatively new, looks as though it could have sat on the land for a hundred years.
Being situated on such a remote property, the cabin has to be completely off the grid, collecting it's own water and generating power though a small solar system.
Be sure to watch to the end of the video for a beautiful spoken word poem from Richard about the Baton Valley. To learn more about their horse trekking business, you can visit their website here:

Cape Kidnappers, Hawke's Bay, NEW ZEALAND
Cape Kidnappers is a luxury lodge set atop 6,000 rolling acres of pasture land in New Zealand's Hawke's Bay.
Cape Kidnappers is the home of the largest, most accessible mainland colony of gannets in the world. The 20,000 gannets at the Cape are members of the Booby family, with distinctive black eye markings and a pale gold crown.
Gannets are sized midway between a sea gull and an albatross. Visitors to the colony will see adults and young nesting in rows, carrying out their daily routine. The birds can be seen from September until early May, when they leave New Zealand for Australia. In September they return and build their nests, ready for the hatching of chicks during December and January.
